The park is open year round, the temperatures will start to get below freezing at night. Do-able but cold.

Hello, The short answer is yes. Wallowa Lake State Park is located at the south end of the lake with plenty of day-use reservable areas. The north end of the lake is owned by the county and I do not believe they have any reservable areas. All of our dayuse areas are all within a short walk to the lake, however shoreline is the closest. If you think your birthday party is going to have more than 50 people then you will need a SUP (special use permit) otherwise you will not have to worry about that! Hello, There should be no issue with you coming in after hours, we do not lock any gates. Just make sure you know what site you are going into and you can head straight there. If the registration booth is closed. Make sure to stop by the booth in the morning to officially check in. Hello, To answer your question- yes! There is plenty of day use parking areas for you to park your vehicles and trailer. The best option for that would probably be the Riverside parking lot (located by the entrance) or Marina parking lot. Marina parking lot for the day is free to use and would be the longest pull through parking.

Hello, Our campground is reservable starting May 15th through October 1. On the off-season we are a first come first serve campground. If you were planning to come before May 15 for a couple of days, that would be a good time of year to do so (we are almost 100 % booked for the 2018 summer season with limited availability as of right now as reservations are taken nine months in advance either online or by phone.) As for the current weather conditions -in the spring the campground has a mixture of rain and snow and temperatures are in the 30s and 40s. I hope this answers any questions that you may have. campfires were not allowed around the cabins that we stayed in so you would need to check with the campground facilities and what the fire risk is. Currently it is high.

The road out of Enterprise towards Lewiston/Clarkson is spectacular. Great views of Joseph Canyon and then a drive thru a road that you won't forget. I would not recommend pulling a trailer or taking a large RV on this road althought we saw people doing that.

This might be a repeat... we were there last August and I don't remember there being any mosquitoes at all. It was pretty smoky from the state fires though so maybe that had an effect?

I don't know why not, the State Park is open, bow hunting for Bucks started about 2 weeks ago so there are hunters out all over the place, the fire restrictions were lifted and it sure doesn't seem full but I don't want to promise anything that I'm not sure of.
