It was a "flashlight" tour right before Halloween 2022. It was so much fun and so interesting! I have been through the Museum a couple of times before and find it fascinating....but the flashlight tour was over the top in interest.
If you enjoy history, and like to walk through it, The Baldwin is the bomb! (That's a good thing, by the way.)

This place is amazing. We were shown around by Melinda, a charming woman who knows seemingly everything about the hotel and Klamath Falls history. The building has been kept in its early 1900s condition, and is fascinating architecturally. There are four floors, each one a marvel. Beyond the architecture, there are rooms full of antiques from the era that are displayed beautifully--and simply, not under plexiglass and such. Best part of our trip to KF. Highly recommended.

What an amazing tour, back in time!
My grandfather was a pioneer of Klamath Falls, in the early 1900’s. The tour brought back many memories of stories told to me by my father.
I highly recommend this museum, as well as, the Klamath Historical Museum. The displays are amazing!

I adore this place. I've been through it twice and like to bring friends here. It is such a fun step back in time. All authentic ambience with great docents. Full of wonderful antiques, you really get a sense of what life was like 140 or so years ago. If you've ever fantasized about exploring an old house, this is just like that. Don't miss it!

My favorite part of visiting this museum was finding out that "Nancy", our tour guide was the widow of the man I had been so intrigued by after reading about him the day before at the Klamath Falls County Museum!! She had asked us what we had done so far during our visit to K Falls, and I told her we'd been to the County Museum the day before, and she said, "Oh, you must have seen my husband's display!" She then said his name and I looked at her, then at her name, and almost shouted, "You're his Nancy!" The whole story came together as she told us more about his story, his life, and their long marriage. We got a much longer tour than we signed up for, and because she took us to all the four floors of the hotel, we gave them more money in their jar as we were leaving. This hotel museum will always be one of our favorites because of her and the info she shared with us about the history of the hotel. It was truly a wonderful museum tour!!

We took the two hour tour and Melinda was our guide. She was a delight. So much knowledge and love of the place and all its wonderful stories. Every one of the four floors has a different feel and a different set of wonders. If you can do only one museum stop in Klamath, make this the one.

To see an old wooden hotel as it was in the 1800’s is an amazing experience! Each room of the four story hotel was thoughtfully decorated in historic themes!
Don’t miss it! It’s a TRUE GEM. A time capsule.
The volunteers are dedicated and very interesting.

This hotel/museum 2 hour tour will forever be one of our favorite museum tours ever. Linda and Melinda, the docents/tour guides, could answer all of our questions. Their love for this old hotel made us love it too. There is a great mix of pieces original to the museum and donated pieces that depict the life and times of the hotel's heyday. To us, this is a "can't miss" when visiting Klamath Falls.

The hotel tells the story of a families vision for a town being developed back in the early 1900's as pioneers began to settle out west. The proprietor of the hardware store turned it into a hotel in 1907 to meet the railroad, which eventually arrived in 1909, the railroad did not come to this part of the town, instead located to the southern part of the town.
There are displays of the times and changes that occur in the people who lived in the hotel until it closed in 1977.

A nineteenth century hotel repurposed with period relics to show you you what it was like to live during those times. For $8 you can get a two hour guided tour of the hotel and it’s contents. Most interesting. If you are in the area a must see.
