Absolutely beautiful course, wish it was this beautiful and peaceful out East. Gorgeous layout, every hole was nice on the eyes, wish I could retire here.

I played the Running Y Ranch golf course for the first time this week. The course is in excellent condition, very friendly staff and the various tees make it playable for any level of player.
I am a single digit handicapper and I liked this course. It is very fair. No tricked up holes. No 2 holes the same. Bunkered very well so even though some fairways look spacious, bunkers come into play.
Greens were fast but not unplayable. I don’t remember a flat putt, so the greens can be tough if you get above the hole. Traps could use more sand, but that’s an individual choice based upon what you are used to. However they were very consistent hole to hole, what more can you do for.
As a bonus I got paired up with the local legend who shot a 58 from the tips during a tourney. At 13. That was a great bonus, to watch him hit it! And a real pleasant person !
If you like the high desert feel, being treated professionally and want to play a great course, make the trip!

This is the second time playing this course and it’s just as nice as it was the first time. For even more fun try the golf scooters. Regardless, it a great way to enjoy the day.

Stay and play at running y. The lodge is beautiful and Ruddy Duck a great place to eat after the round!

We played the Running Y Ranch Golf Course on a weekday morning. The front nine is laid out in the river basin, while the back nine in the pine forests. The front nine is more open and exposed to the winds, and water comes into play on several holes. The back nine is more hilly, and fairways framed by pine trees. The condition of the course was excellent, especially the greens which were smooth and quick. The golf course staff did a great job in terms of having our carts ready and tallying the results of our tournament. A great course for the variety of shots you have to play and for the condition of the course itself.

I researched this course and visited late in June. I was very excited to explore. Scheduling a T-Time was simple and I was able to get my usual time with only reserving a week in advance. When I arrived, the carts were a mess, the pro shop was sloppy, and the staff were unapproachable. When I spoke to the pro shop managment, staff sat chatting and sitting on their cell phones. After my round of 18, I walked in to compliment the hesd golf pro. Unfortunately, I over heard him continually bad mouth the Ranch management and ownership and it was disappointing to hear. It was unprofessional and alarming. I can only imagine what this course could do for Oregon if the management of the course matched the beauty of greens.

I have golfed here, on vacation, several times. It has become a bit pricey, and thus is not crowded. We got around in 4 hours, and that is after letting a twosome play through. As a resort course, it is friendly to all but the wildest shots. The bunkers could use a lot of work and better sand, but otherwise the course is in good condition and enjoyable to play.

We'd planned this section of our road trip based on Running Y's confirmation they had suitable equipment for hire and that they were a first class course. Yes, we could have walked away when we were shown the rental clubs, but we'd been looking forward to a round, knowing it would be over two weeks before we'd play again.
So we went out with inexusably poor clubs in our bag and found ourselves behind a party of 5 who joked around, held up the game and did not let us play through. This is a beautiful, (though not that challenging) course, and yet it's clearly more of a local hangout with local rules and attitudes. Perhaps a little more professionalism would have made the detour acceptable.

Was pleased to see the greens damaged in 2017 back in great shape. This is a great course when the greens are rolling properly. Staff is pleasant. I've played this course several times and the course managers keep the pace at a reasonable level.

Hi. Garland and I absolutely love this place! As far as the spa goes....yes, yes, yes! I went for a full body massage and facial today. Both were excellent....equal to, if not the best, I've had! The staff were friendly and the girls well trained. I will be back in the fall when we visit again! Paula
