I enjoyed a delightful bike ride with ole' friends. The wide paved trail is fairly easy to ride and was perfect for a visiting tour with friends.

Well taken care of, clean and safe feeling. This is a great place to take your walk or to ride your bike. Being an old RR bed, nothing is ever steep. From BiMart to Olene, it's beautifully paved, but don't stop there. The switchbacks out past Hildebrand, outside of Dairy are great.

This rail trail is as straight as an arrow from KF to Oleans about 9 miles each way. This section is paved with over 500 bumpy frost cracks so it is more suited to a mountain bike than a road bike. We did not go east of Orleans, when it turned to gravel surface. At Orleans is an old wooden snow plow on display... Way cool.

We stayed overnight in Klamath Falls on our way to Crater Lake and this trail that was built on the old railroad line goes past the Holiday Inn Express. We went out in the evening and took a 3-4 mile walk, heading east away from town. The trail is wide, paved, level and well-maintained (suitable for walking, bikes, wheelchairs, strollers, etc.). The route goes through the city so much of the scenery is urban streets and buildings (and some unfortunate litter), but we did get far enough out to see some more open farmland. We crossed an old steel truss bridge over a canal and enjoyed watching a family of ducks swimming below. At the parking area off Crosby Avenue at Avalon Street there's an old caboose and some educational displays about the history of the railroad. A dog park is adjacent. We're planning to visit again this summer and hope to have the opportunity to explore more of the trail route.

For daytime bike rides or walks with the dog this is a good option. Clear walkway, nice quiet area, a great place to get out and get some exercise without walking on the roadways.

It starts on Washburn way and goes to Olene few miles east of Sheila crest, then the pavement turns to hard gravel for another several miles. I like to take the family on walks, runs, bike rides and just feel like I’m getting out in peace for a while.

The trail is on old railroad bed. Stretches from commercial area to country over several miles, including residential areas. Supporters have installed benches for quick resting spot. Must share with bicycles but they are a courteous bunch!

A staff person at the hotel where I stayed in Klamath Falls told me about the trail. 'So glad she did. It's a great trail for getting out & stretching your legs, or biking, if you have a bike available. The 4-5 star ratings I saw from other reviewers seem to be overstating its appeal, however, particularly when compared to places like Crater Lake or Cape Perpetua or the Columbia River Gorge (places that truly are 4-5 stars). Admittedly, I only saw a portion of the trail, so perhaps it's more scenic elsewhere, but the portion I walked is simply a narrow, pastoral corridor through town. Nonetheless, I was delighted it was there. I was in town for a business trip & had no opportunity to drive to wilder or more scenic places. As others have mentioned, there are some busy street crossings along the route.

This is a very beautiful bike ride and so much fun with kids! The views are great. HOWEVER, I would caution you that there are several very busy roads to cross that can be scary for kids. You can avoid them if you go short distances or start your ride farther out of town. There are some large bumps in the cement on this trail that are uncomfortable when riding but overall this is a really fun family outing. Bring water & snacks!

Walked 8 miles of this trail with a group and a guide from the museum. Started in Olene and walked back to Klamath Falls. Really fun and fairly easy walk.
