We come here often. The ground are expertly cared for & change throughout the seasons. The setting is very peaceful & a great place to reflect & ponder life. We have all found peace & eternal direction here. The visitor center is very interactive & informative. Kids of all ages will find something to interest them. Everyone is welcome.

This is the most beautiful and peaceful place. I love taking my two young kids here to see the gardens and visitor center. They love going. There is a a beautiful statue of Jesus that my kids just love seeing...and there are short movies and educational things to see and do and the people that work here are very nice and helpful. There is something for everyone.

Gorgeous setting right on highway 5 at Kruse offramp . Even if you are not mormon , this is a very pleasant stop . Beautiful architecture and gardens in a shaded area . Right next door to Oswego Grill Restaurant ... one of the top restaurants in the Portland area. Upscale , and great food and drinks . Well worth a visit .

Even if you are already familiar with LDS Temples in general, this is one to see. These grounds might be the most beautiful I've ever been to. Nestles among the trees, the bright gray and white spires provide a stark contrast to the deep greens of the surrounding evergreen woodlands. The effect is otherworldly. The grounds are quiet and peaceful despite being adjacent to the I-5 freeway. There is a small visitors center on the grounds for anyone curious about the purpose of the Temple or the beliefs of the Church. The staff is friendly and helpful and there are a few activities for children. Be mindful that because of the small size of the visitors center, it can sometimes get crowded depending on the time of visit.

A beautiful place to wander and meditate. The grounds and gorgeous and peaceful. Helps you forget the crazy world as you enjoy the beauty. The visitor center is perfect for families to gain knowledge about Jesus Christ. Don’t miss the visitor center. It’s a must see and open to everyone.

The temple grounds are incredibly beautiful anytime of year. The visitors center is a spiritual experience by itself.
Because of COVID, I can’t wait until the temple itself is open.

When you hear “Heaven on earth” — this is the place , you visit with an open mind & leave with a meaningful purpose.
First time was 2019, we visited as a family the atmosphere is very peaceful— The scenery of green forest, gardens are beautifully calming. We were received with luke warm welcoming smiles, they were closing by the time we arrived but saw that we walked in, they gave us a tour . Highly recommend!!!

The grounds around the temple and the visitor's center are beautiful. My soul feels refreshed and enlivened every time I set foot there. The visitor's center has wonderful, short presentations about the Savior and about the church, and standing in front of the Christ statue makes you feel His love for you.

Although the full temple experience is only a available to those with a temple recommend, the visitors center and temple grounds are welcome to all. It is such a spiritual experience to walk around and take in the beauty of the temple. The visitors center is a great place to learn about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. With missionary’s around to answer any questions you may have.

My flight doesn't leave until 6:00pm and I'd like to visit the temple. How do I get back to the airport from the temple?

You would probably take a taxi or Uber. It is at least 30 minutes from the airport. More in traffic and maybe more just because I don't live there and know how long it really is. It is a straight-forward shot to the airport and the temple is just barely off the freeway: I-5. Navigation would be easy but you would have to judge the time to get there. Take I-5 north and follow the signs to the airport.
