Nice Bar area for sports viewing. Very accomodating staff. bowling alley is great! Especially the private four lane one.

This is a GREAT party place and the new owners have done a wonderful job! Great for Birthdays, Graduations, family reunions. Multiple activities and the usual pizza, burger place. GREAT for family time!! Kids will not get bored!

Every place on earth has nice venues and so does the Northwest around Portland, Oregon. Unfortunantly, whoever put this poll together does not have a clue what matter here!

I often wonder how and why someone would write a comment a mile long complaining about the service. Must be most bitter. We often go to Players and have found the management and staff to friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend this facility to anyone who wants to have a positive experience watching a game or just having a meal.

After reading many reviews of this facility located in Lake Oswego, Oregon i have to say, some may have this business confused or don't know exactly what the owners and staff are trying to accomplish within the business.
Let me share the insight on what the company is doing. NEW MANAGEMENT has taken over as of 2 months ago and hopefully you can muster up some trust and try it again. As a Lake Oswego resident who is interested in the community, I have spoken to the owners and have been personally reassured that all negative comments, complaints, and experiences are no longer acceptable to this growing business as a sports bar and family center. Not only are they verbal promises, but i have personally seen owners, management, and overall staff attend to every need and question their guests have. Even showing new guests who have never visited a tour of the new accomadations made to the upstairs and new attractions including excellent quality food that now includes steaks, salmon, and 1/2 pound burgers. Their fries btw are comparable to Red Robins and maybe even better.
The arcade is now the next step in overall production and satisfaction in the eye of their customers as mechanics are coming day in and day out working on the games and making sure all people of all ages are content with their prize selection and overall game experience.
I speak up for this business as I have been in frequently for lunch which runs me $6.99 at the most and i have enough to take home with me. I hope it stays in Lake Oswego and continues to grow. From the grapevine it is said things are changing for the good and hopefully you don't miss out on this oppurtunity to help them succeed and have a great time while doing it

My daughter abbigale decided to have her birthday there and ever since then it is the only place i can go to watch the Ducks and Blazers play while my kids are eating dinner and busy playing the arcade games or bowling.
I can watch the game, bowl, and eat, and even drink a beer all at the same time. no more need be say. Thank you for your time

I had high expectations for this place since a groups of friends recommended it after celebrating a birthday here. A group of us went on a Saturday night and it wasn't super packed when we got there but quickly filled up as the night went on. When you check their website online, it gives off the vibe that it's an adult "play place" but children are allowed inside, and there were several kids running around, right off the bat it was not what we expected. When we got there we headed to the front desk to reserve a bowling spot and there was a wait list, we put our names on the list and headed upstairs to pass some time playing pool. We were told someone would be up there to take our drink order. The upstairs had a nice set up with several pools tables and big leather couches. After 30 minutes, no one came up to get our drink order but someone came up to let us know our bowling lane was ready. We had no idea we would be "sharing" the bowling space with strangers who were seated across from our area, no big deal, it was just a bit awkward. The waitress took ONE HOUR to bring our food and when we finally decided to leave this overpriced dump my friend still hadn't gotten her mozzarella sticks she had ordered 30 MINUTES PRIOR! We were asked once throughout the night how we were doing by someone walking around with a headset and when we commented on how long it was taking to get our food, they said " Yea, it's a busy night" and they just rushed off. Very disappointing experience, I feel guilty for bringing a large group to this place. 2 big thumbs DOWN

I have been to Player's many times over the past couple of years and the service and food has been good. I have brought my extended family of up to 12 people at a time. Lately everything has seemed to go downhill. Tonight 6/6/09 we went for dinner at 6:30 on a Friday. We were the only ones in the dining area. When asked where everybody else was at, we were told this in the slow season (June) and it is always like this. We had stopped at 3 other places in Lake Oswego like Players and we would of had an hour wait. When we looked at the menu, some of our favorites that we use to order about 3 months ago were gone. The server told us that the menu had not been changed for over a year and we must be mistaken. We then ordered some items that we had in the past. We tried each item : Alfredo, Asian salad and shrimp. Each item not only tasted different, but was extremely bland and unappetizing. We had also ordered "Potato boats" thinking these were like Potato skins as the server had said, but these were just large french fries with cheese on them. This was completely different than the menu described. The server sent the manager over. We told the manager we were not satisfied and she then proceeded to argue with us that their menu had not changed for the past year and we must be mistaken. We told her the menu had changed and certain items did now not exist. She again said we were wrong and brought us a menu. We showed her we were correct. It was obvious she did not know what was on the menu. Remember, we are still the only ones in the dining area and it is 7PM. The manager then said that she would adjust the bill. When I got the bill, she had charged us full price for the meal because we had tasted the food. When she gave us the bill she said come again and give us another chance. I would have thought we would have given us a discount to try again, but we were given nothing. I see quite a few comments in this forum that suggest that negative comments are from people who are picky and they have had the most wonderful time and food was excellent. I believe these comments are from people who work for Players, know the present situation and are trying to save their jobs. One other item I found interesting. We went out for ice cream after we had dinner at a 2nd restaurant. I was telling the servers at the ice cream parlor about the experience and they made the comment that for the last 6-8 months, they have been hearing these same kind of problems over and over.

I cannot relate to any of the negative reviews here...there are some people that will never be happy no matter what! Life is too short!
Every time we have been to Players we have had so much fun! It is one stop entertainment. There aren't many places where you can eat a yummy dinner (with HUGE portions!!) and then choose your fun. The bowling area is comfy (instead of the 'old school' bowling alley set up). Our kids LOVE all the arcade games and have had a blast racking up tickets to redeem a prize. I think they offer great deals too, especially during a time when we are all trying to save our pennies.
