This is literally my favorite place to find gifts for anyone. Very cute store with a wonderfully curated selection of items. Whether I am looking for a card, a gift or jewelry for my wife, there are always new and wonderful surprises to be found. I love their affinity for local items as it allows me to share some of the great things we have to offer to those not from around here.

As we cruised the main drag of Newberg, OR we were taken by the signs of a cleverly named place, Pulp and Circumstance. The owner had cleverly placed signs at key intersections (much like realtors advertise an open house). We found our way to this charming cottage. The entire ground floor i taken up with display items, perhaps not from soup to nuts, but from ornaments to candy. Christmas tree ornaments and assorted crafts, mostly created locally, graced one room. Another has assorted bulk candies, and a third has paper items. Although some of the craft were made in Lancaster, PA and one in (perish the thought) CHINA! Most were sourced locally in the Willamette Valley.
Upstairs is a recently-opened airb&b.
Newberg is a small village about an hour's drive from Portland. Well worth the diversion.

You may have to look a little for this shop as it is not on the main route through town.
Head south on Cottage. Such a nice variety of stationary and paper supplies,but it doesn't stop there!

How fun to wander through this old Victorian house transformed into a delightful shop. A little of this, a little of that. I found THE painting that I want to take as a representation of the area. And, a Marvin Gaye sound track played as I danced through the shop. Fun!

This little shop offers a wide variety of items such as small pieces of art work, clothing, kids books & games, house decor, jewelry and soaps, rubs and lotions. Very artsy, eclectic and locally produced.

If you're looking for unique gifts in the Newberg area, this place is worth going out of the way. They are still talking about the vanilla bean chocolates and other candies I brought back to my office.

Every time we pass through Newberg, we always stop at Pulp & Circumstance. These ladies have created a really nice ambiance in their gift shop, and they have such creative and original gift ideas...it's a great place to go for a gift for that "special someone." Don't miss it!

I LOVE this store. So many different things to choose from! It is very trendy and unique! Highly recommended especially if you're traveling and want some cool take home items.
