If you want a place to hang out have some good coffee and read a book or do some work this is the place. Small bookstore in back half is also a great place for kids. More college student and younger adults.

We stopped in just to look at the books for a bit. They have a fun selection and some used books too. Their blended chai is great and my favorite each time I visit.

A comfy place to relax inside or out (heaters in the cooler weather) with wonderful coffee or another selection....I like the Italian soda in the summer. Weekends bring fun live music!

I can hope whoever I am meeting here for coffee runs a little late so I have time

Locally produced coffee beans, flavored syrups also made in Oregon. (The best around.) Pastries delivered daily by Marsee bakeries. Add an engaging conversation or a great read and you have the best of everything. Chapters Bookhouse.

Chapters is a small, charming bookstore -- great for coffee and studying. Not the biggest selection, but a nice collegiate atmosphere.

Any time I stay with my family in Newberg I invariably have coffee in Chapters. My favourite is a proper cappuccino not to be confused with a latte. I can report that the staff in Chapters are very responsive to my requests for a 'dry capp' which I learned was the way to avoid a cappuccino which was too milky. The atmosphere in Chapters is special with the opportunity to browse the racks of books along with new editions. Availability of food is largely limited to bagels and an assortment of pastries. Free wifi is a popular feature with regulars and students alike. There is a significant number of loyal regulars.

Every neighborhood would benefit by having such a storefront. There is a wide variety of gourmet coffee available, and there is a wide variety of new and used books available. Perfect combination.
