Great little hole in the wall that the locals seem to frequent. We stopped in to check it out and was greeted by the friendly bartender. Decided to stay and have a drink. Really enjoyed chatting with the bartender and some of the locals. We decided to go back on Saturday night for the live music and had a great time. We will definitely go back next time we are in the area!

You need to follow this bar on Facebook. They are a small town dive bar, that many locals frequent, right across from the bay. Some of their online posts make me laugh out loud. The bartenders are usually gruff ladies, which I enjoy, and their drinks are served in fun small mason jars. Don't ever go for the food (because there really isn't any), but for the atmosphere and the experience. The graffiti in the bathroom is always changing, so don't expect your memory to still be there from the last time you went. But, who can remember what you wrote on the wall, after a couple of their stiff drinks?! It's always a fun time at the Bay Haven!

I'm not a big karaoke fan, but had a great time, and there were some pretty talented folks there. Lots of friendly locals at this place.

Loved the atmosphere, the music (Donnie), the bartender (Jeanne), the owner (Linda), the bathroom (awesome mural and graffiti wall), the back patio (fun)....just the whole thing. Hubby and I with our best friends stopped in to have a drink mid afternoon on a Saturday and just had the best time. Definitely stop in for a drink or two and relax after a day of sight seeing and touristing!!

If you have a picture in your mind of a beautiful grunge bar this is a thousand times better. The real thing with live music that rocks the rafters - singers with powerful range and great back up. One of the few originals left.

Every Sunday afternoon from 3 to 6 p.m. this place hosts a jam session that specializes in classic Rock and Roll. The house band will play the first and last set, but they invite local artists to join in onstage. It is a super opportunity to sing and dance just like we used to in the old days.
Fair warning - Earplugs may be desirable for anyone with tender ears. However if you grew up in the 70s-80s it'll seem like the clock jumped back 20-30 years.

It only looks scary. The folks here are friendly and they have an amazing bartender named Jenny Jo. The Sunday Jam is WAAAY too loud for me but Doctor Babski Karaoke is fun on Friday nights. There are a couple of locals named Karly and Randy that are terrific singers and bring a fun group in. While I would never get up and do that, it's good fun watching the others strut their stuff. Don't arrive hungry because if you want food here, you are out of luck, other than a bag of Fritos. Overall, a fun dive and one of the few late-night options in town.

I have lived in Newport for 3 years and love the live rock n roll music at the 1809 Bay Haven Inn. A dog-friendly bar with a smoking yard out back. Very local clientele, mostly fishermen. Don't come here for the food, just the alcohol and music in this great atmosphere.

Stopped here waiting for a restaurant to open and was greeted by a very sweet Golden Retriever. Staff is very friendly. Beer is cold! If your looking for a relaxing environment to have a couple drinks this is your place!

We loved this Bar, a pup named Sam will greet you at the door. Lots of locals go to this place, but they are all super kind to visitors. Great drinks and live music.
