I've viewed the bridge 100s of times but each time that view takes my breath away. It is quite exciting to drive across in a wind storm. This last trip I saw two sea lions playing in the sea lane.

There are used needles and discarded condoms throughout the walking dock in this bridge. Totally avoid.

Wenn man ohnehin in Newport ist, wird man sich der Brücke nicht entziehen können. Vom Hafen aus hat man einen guten Blick auf die Brücke und wenn man von Newport aus in Richtung Süden fährt, so wird man ohnehin über diese Brücke fahren müssen.

We enjoyed the view of this bridge from the historic bay front. We also enjoyed the view from this bridge as we crossed over it multiple times during our stay in Newport.

If you come to the area before the winds start up, you can get a super picture of the bridge reflection in the water.

Beautiful bridge to visit, you can actually get closer from many points. It is very gothic looking, I am impressed. I wish it was a sunny day, visit it in summer if you can. Newport is beautiful by itself, and this bridge is another prove how Oregon rock!

Beautiful historic bridge to drive and walk, if you have the time. The structure is being renovated and should be a worthwhile infrastructure to visit for years to come.

Another nice vantage point is just NW of the bridge. Heading south on HWY. 101, take a right just before the bridge and continue toward the right (toward the ocean) and park your car in the lot. Then walk back toward the bridge from the lot, on the south side of the road and you'll find one or two great views of the bridge, sometimes including wildflowers.
