Folks, let me tell you about Dune Bugs ATV. Believe me, it's the best place to have fun, just tremendous. I’m a 65-year-old thrill seeker and I had the most amazing time, absolutely incredible. A whole hour of pure joy, smiling from ear-to-ear.
Now, let me tell you about the rental fee. It's the lowest around, no question about it. And it includes helmets, goggles, and gas. Total package, folks. I rode all over the dunes and trails. Best time I’ve had in years. Better than any roller coaster, believe me.
Dune Bugs might be a bit off the beaten path, but it's so worth it. The service is amazing, equipment is top-notch and easy for beginners, but also a blast for experienced riders. The guys at Dune Bugs are fantastic, very helpful. They even have a long-winded safety briefing, very thorough, folks. Safety first, and they do it right.
Let me tell you, there are spectacular views from the top of those massive dunes. This area really rocks.

We had the best time today riding the dunes with three ATV’s and a Side by Side. We paid for two hours and received another 30 minutes free. The rental fee is the lowest around and includes helmets, goggles and gas. We rode out to the beach, all over the dunes and trails and had the best family time in years.
Dune Boys are off the beaten path but well worth the effort. Service was amazing and the equipment was easy to operate for new riders and fun for the experienced as well.

4 friends and I rented 4 wheelers from Dune Bugs to enjoy the amazing Oregon Dunes recreation area. We did a two hour rental which was perfect. I think 1 hour is not enough. Two hours allows you to get down to the beach and also to figure out how to get unstuck in the deep sand of the dunes. This was a highlight of our trip as the views were spectacular both at the coast and from the top of several very large dunes. The guys at Dune Bugs were helpful... but allow 30 min for a tedious and perhaps long-winded safety briefing. The machines worked great...no issues at all. Would definitely rent from Dune Bugs again.

Had a great time! 3 adults! 5 teenagers! Their 1st time! Every time we got stuck mgmt was there lickedy split! Great prices for the side x sides and single bikes! Going back soon!

Went here on a Friday afternoon with a friend and we rented two quads. Filled out the standard paperwork and waivers and then guy helping us took us out to explain how the quads worked. We had both ridden before so did not need much explanation but he still went over everything. He also explained about the dunes and how to best go up and over and some areas we needed to be extra careful like on the narrow paths and tall dunes (Don't go on narrow paths and always stop on the top of the dunes unless you want to find yourself 20 feet in the air). The area we had access to was quite large (about 4 miles long by 1 mile wide) and the hour we rented went be pretty quick. Overall I would recommend and will be doing this again when I am back in town again. The cost was $45 per quad for the first hour and $40 for each additional. There was also a $300 deposit required which was returned when you returned with an undamaged quad. You also have to be 16 or older to drive. The place has 2 and 4 seaters for families as well.

The guy who rented the ATVs to us didn't really give us much info other than basic safety and operational instructions, but hey, we're adults so it didn't really matter to us. He also gave us an extra 20 minutes free of charge, seeing it was Labor Day.
We all had a blast. Our machines were all fully functional with no mechanical problems.
TIP 1: Really pay attention to where you are going. It is VERY VERY easy to get lost among the sand dunes since they all look the same, and there aren't very many signs to guide you. Bring a GPS if you have one.
TIP 2: DO NOT forget your paperwork. You get a temporary ATV license when you sign the waivers and rent the machines. You have to keep it with you at all times you are riding.
TIP 3: Go to the beach and open up the throttle. There is about 5 miles of open coastline to ride along. But pay attention to where the recreational vehicle area ends and where the public beach begins. It's easy to end up ATV'ing where you're not supposed/allowed to.

We came to rent atvs for an hour and said we were beginners. The guys didn't tell us anything about the dunes or the machines until after we signed the contracts and paid the money. Only then did they tell us any kind of safety info or what could happen out there. This information was rattled off quickly & they seemed more irritated to go through it all than helpful. Overall they seemed more concerned about the money and the equipment than the safety and experience of us the riders. They had an attitude and were sarcastic from the minute we walked in. The information they gave us was inaccurate and inadequate. I would not rent from them again or recommend anyone else to do so. There are plenty of other places to rent from. I want to rent from someone who cares about my safety especially in a place like these dunes where accidents happen every day

Giornata di tempo un po' orrendo e la spiaggia e' assolutamente impraticabile! Cerchiamo fra le varie attivita' alternative e scopriamo le corse sulle dune dell'Oregon, a pochi chilometri da noi. Bob gestisce questa attivita' che si incontra per prima venendo da sud appena iniziano le dune di Northbend. E' una persona molto affabile e gentile, spiritoso e accomodante. Il suo Bulldog inglese Louie e' uno spasso! Spiega per filo e per segno cosa fare e aiuta nel prepararsi. L'ora parte solo dopo che ci si e' accomodati e sistemati per bene. Consigliato a chi sa guidare nuovi mezzi senza timore, ama le attivita' all'aria aperta come il motocross per intenderci. Dune favolose, alte e varie. Panorami mozzafiato. L'area nella quale si puo' guidare e' ben delimitata e circoscritta, ridotta rispetto alla vastita' dell'ambiente che e' effettivamente molto ampio. Insomma anche se ero e rmango un po' scettica sull'opportunita' di fare un'attivita' cosi' anti ecologica e' molto divertente specialmente per i bimbi piu' o meno grandi! Costo per un veicolo per 4 per un'ora 140$, concorrenziale rispetto ad altri nella stessa zona. Per spendere meno bisogna fare corse di gruppo con autista disponibili in altri posti.

We rented a two-seater (for my wife and me) and two quads (for our kids, age 20 and 18). The owners were very knowledgeable about the equipment and the area. The equipment itself was in good shape. Since my daughter had never ridden an ATV before they took extra time to help her and make her feel at ease. We had a blast in the dune play area (we had to go to the beach but it wasn't as much fun as the play area). After riding the dunes, they sent us to an awesome dune to sandboard, where there are no ATVs. This was an even better experience as we shot down the sand. Overall, it was a great experience in the dunes.

My family and I had a great time. We were all inexperienced and were shown the basics. After that we went out and explored the dunes and got our feet "wet" in atv riding. It was fun. Recommend it. Ensure you know what you are renting as you are 100% responsible for all damage. I took pictures of all 4 of our quads prior to leaving for the dunes and I really think that made a difference upon our return. The quads ran great lots of power etc but lots of cable ties etc holding parts on etc. nothing wrong with that as long as you don't get charged to fix to new condition. We had no issues. These guys seem like straight shooters! Good to go! Have fun.
