Books by the bay have friendly staff but they don't interfere with brosing. You can find good summer reads in the used section and grateful new baby books for showers.

This is a real local business and the local community that loves the written word, reading it makes all the difference. The staff are friendly and helpful, that other stores like Borders could not do...My daughter enjoys and if visiting the Bay Area, you might find that missing book you wanted.

a nice place to get a coffee and I love that they have drive thru! Peppermint mocha is my favorite. Military discounts too!

Books by The Bay is hanging on as a community gathering place, and an alternative to the Big Box. Service and selection- if they don't have it in stock, it will be in by Tuesday!

good place to relax, read, drink,and eat.The owner's of the book store and of the coffee shop are both very helpful and gracious. Out of towners can get help full advise and directions as to the area.. We can't say enough about them.

Harold is great guy and very helpful as well as very knowledgable about his books .Easy access on South bound Hwy 101 in downtown North Bend . Lots of free parking.

This place is so cool! I visited with my 4 year old son and he loved it! We sat down and read some children's books ( which they have a great variety of) and we had a great time. They also have a little cafe and sitting area where you can enjoy a cup of your favorite tea or desert and they were both so yummy. The staff is so friendly and kind, my son and I really enjoyed the time we spent there. :)

I saw this bookstore directly across the street from where we had stopped. I had several older selections in mind and when I asked the young lady she immediately knew how and where to find at least the one. A Dog's Purpose. I really do love purchasing my books from smaller establishments like this. those with personality and a human touch rather than ..........
I love seeing bookstores, new and used, in any small city and hope that I am in some small way, contributing to their success in buying selections.This small store was clean, orderly and quite well stocked with a helpful attendant.

I always like to visit used bookstores, and since we were staying in the area, I thought I'd pop in. The store is located at the north end of North Bend, just south of where 101 becomes two 'one-way' roads as you go south. There is a small parking lot on the north side of the building.
Inside, it's clean and bright. The clerk was not overly friendly, but then, she was busy . . . reading ;-)
The selection of mysteries and suspense was decent sized and I bought a couple of books. I noticed they also had some new history books. In the back, there is an espresso bar and I think they also have limited deli sandwiches. My camera battery was dead so no photos :-(
