We explored the bridge and it's rich history because of geocaching. It's a virtual cache that requires a few pictures and a little studying. We were there when the rain finally stopped and the sun broke through the clouds.

The Oregon City Bridge was refurbished a few years ago making it as beautiful as the day she was opened. Believe it or not kids in the 50's would walk over the top of the arches.

This is a historic bridge and best to drive slow as it is extremely narrow. It has a beautiful view if you are the passenger. Can be busy with heavy traffic during morning and early evenings.

Best to walk or ride a bike across bridge. Hard to see the Willamette Falls while driving. Beautiful bridge architecture. Bridge and municipal elevator are symbols of Oregon City.

Recently restored bridge to all its original glory, which you can walk or ride your bike across across but one should stop in the middle to enjoy the view of Willamette Falls and the historic elevator. Although you can't stop while driving but worth parking the car downtown and just taking a walk on the bridge and then take the ride up to the top of the elevator.

This short bridge, built in 1922, is a local landmark and provides the best views of Willamette Falls without physically being on the river (the views are still compromised due to the great distance between the Falls and the Bridge, but it's better than anywhere else). The bridge is visually appealing, with the arch forming a slightly-off-center arc from one side of the river to the other. While it's not going to be the highlight of anyone's trip, the Arch Bridge is an iconic component of historic Oregon City.

The Oregon City Arch Bridge spans the Willamette River connecting Oregon City to West Linn. The bridge was opened in December 1922 and has been on the National Register of Historic Places since July 2005.
The Arch bridge is narrow with only two lanes of traffic. One going east and one going west. There are pedestrian walkways on both the north and south side of the bridge. On the south side of the bridge you have a lovely view of Willamette Falls and the industrial area near the falls.
It was a a hot heat wave Labor Day weekend when I walked back and forth across the bridge. I watched Kayakers paddling on the Willamette River between the bridge and Willamette Falls to the south. You can take some nice photos of the waterfalls from the Bridge making a walk across something that you really must do to take advantage of the views the bride provides.
It may be small and narrow but it is a beautiful iconic gem of a bridge.
