Lovely location right on the beach ( well, a few minutes walk down the cliff road).
A short rainforest trail leads directly from the park to the lighthouse (and I mean short, 10 mins max).
Not much in the way of facilities - we did have a table & fire pit but it was too damp/cold/windy to sit out by a fire. There was garbage but no recycling which is very disappointing in these times of environmental awareness. Not sure if there were showers as we didn't need to use any. Our pitch had power/water but the on-site sani-dump wasn't working & apparently had not been for quite some time.
The pitches are all in the trees which might be great on a very hot day but as we were there in Sept it was dark & shaded & therefore a little chilly. A short walk did take us to an open area with a couple of benches to sit on in the warmth of the evening sun however & we watched the sun go down from there along with a lot of others from the park.
The beach was the highlight of the park - it is a huge, white sand beach with lots of interesting driftwood & rocks. Because it was after Labour Day we had it to ourselves most of the time & our dogs had a blast. Beware - it is a very windy beach & often covered in dense sea mist, which in turn, means a damp atmosphere all over the park so your damp towel will never dry for example.
We'd certainly stay here again & recommend it to anyone for it's location & tranquility. It was clean & tidy and seemed very well maintained.

We got there late but our campsites were waiting for us. It's a small campground. I only saw one loop. It was very quiet. It's up in the forest but I could see the Pacific Ocean through the trees. It's only 10 miles to a restaurant. And I had AT&T cell service.
Beware riding to/from the campground around sundown. Deer aplenty.

This is an amazing place for views of the Oregon Coast. Be prepared for potential windy and cold weather, even during the summer. We were there in July and had to wear coats and gloves to enjoy our hike.

Wonderful! We loved our stay at Cape Blanco over Thanksgiving. The sites are spacious--we have a 27 foot RV plus tow vehicle. Each site is surrounded by vegetation which makes each site feel private. There's lots of trees in the campground so Starlink did not work all that great but once you get out of the campground, there's reception. The facilities are clean--the only bad part about the shower is that there's no temperature changing options so it comes out super hot (great for me because I'm always cold but husband didn't like that). The lighthouse was closed to tours but the road is open to walk down to the lighthouse and the trails to the beach. The view and sunrise/sunset are awesome! There's also lots of other interesting places to walk and see in this spacious park. We would certainly stay here again. The dump station is not operating but with your camping reservation, you can dump at any other state park.

Camping sites are well kept. Bathrooms, showers, among amenities. Can’t walk down to the beach though. Nice and quite.

sehr schöner State park, leider bei uns etwas vernebelt. Wir haben hier unsere ersten Waipiti gesehen. Sehr schön. Auf dem Weg der Leuchtturm....

Five miles off Hiway 101. We were in space #27, very private. Most spots enclosed in foliage. The ocean-side spots aren't, and they aren't really ocean side but set back from a trail. Hosts and registration set deep in campground. Verizon was very spotty, needed to walk out cliffside to get reception. Saw deer in campground, including a buck in velvet that settled down hidden in the greenery between campsites. The stellar jays and chipmunks were rather socialized. There was a hiking trail to the lighthouse, but we could not locate a direct trail to Hughes House. Sadly, there is no safe path along the roadway. The horse camp looked super. Lots of forested trails, and a steep paved road down to the beach. The wind was persistent the entire visit. Self-sufficient so did not use bathroom or showers. Septic dump was closed.

We rented one of the cabins in the campground. It was quite nice, separated and quite. Had a view of the ocean from the front of the cabin. Has a trail to hike for a good view also has a little road you can drive to to get to the beach and drive on the beach - be warned though it is narrow, single lane and rough road with only a couple turnouts incase another vehicle is coming the other direction. Would recommend a four wheel drive but we did see a sedan going down on our way back up. Campground is nice but expect a lot of wind in the evening and night. We were there it was 70 degrees during the day but got really cold once the sun went down and the wind picked up. Beautiful sunsets at the lighthouse but once again windiest place in the U.S.

Yes, we used our hot spot during the entire camp out and response was reasonable.
