What a fantastic tour! I was visiting my family here in Portland (hubby & I live in Auckland, New Zealand) and decided to book this tour for my Dad’s birthday. We all learned heaps, even though my folks have lived here their whole life! Great food, Laura is a delightful guide, and everything was catered to us. We could only do an evening tour and she just made it work. We highly recommend for a taste of REAL Portland.

Laura is an excellent tour guide with a genuine appreciation of and passion for everything that the beautiful, bountiful Pacific Northwest has to offer. She is thoughtful and organized with good communication skills. Her insider insight lends a unique perspective on what she showcases. I can't wait to do another tour with you Laura!

This tour through the industrial Central Eastside Tour is an excellent opportunity to get to know the unexpected: unique food and drink, top-ranking chefs and high-quality food producers of all kinds, from coffee to chocolate and spirits to charcuterie. Founder and tourguide Laura Morgan does an amazing job in introducing visitors to the "Foodie Town PDX". Very knowledgeable, highly informative and very well organized. Good amount of interesting tastings, too.

I'm so glad I got to go on this tour! The companies featured have contributed to putting Portland on the map in foodie culture, and it's wonderful to experience them all with this walking tour. Each place is eager to share their tasty treats with you, whether it be drinking chocolate at Alma or a bountiful charcuterie board at Olympia Provisions. You get to see a lot, hear a lot, eat a lot, and ENJOY A LOT! Best of all is Laura, our wonderful tour guide -- she's ever-prepared to answer your questions, give a quirky tidbit on Portland (I didn't know buildings could be painted "taxi yellow"), or offer you an umbrella if it rains. She's also great at interacting with you and other members to make your walk easy and fun. You'll walk away knowing what makes this city great!

This tour is above all fun! Laura has an abundance of knowledge of the area, food and purveyors. Portland is unique in the fact that there are multiple food start ups and many within walking distance. Laura has partnered with some of the best to create a versatile, fun walking tour in a small pocket of the city that could go unnoticed. Hidden amongst historical industrial buildings are the gems of small industry. Each one recognizes you as a special guest and has amazing treats ready at your arrival. And then there is shopping! It is a really fun time. You should definitely do this.

Laura’s walking food tours are one of the best ways both tourists and locals can indulge their senses and spend a morning/afternoon. She is an informative, friendly, and passionate tour guide, and the establishments she partners with are some of the best Portland has to offer. The Central Eastside new neighborhood is home to a couple of my new favorite places (Smith Teas, Coava Coffee). I learned a lot about the neighborhood as well as the delights each business has to offer. Fun, fun, fun!

Im a semi recent transplant to Portland, huge foodie and chef. The big foody tour was my first ever food tour, and I'm glad it was. Laura has set the bar for future ones; Informative, fun and a great variation of food. The tour was able to capture Portlands purveyors and chefs passion for not only their individual craft and products but their comradery of "community not competition." The places on the tour are now definitely on my list of places to enjoy great Portland food and to share with others! I highly recommend the Big Foody Tour, Laura is great!

This tour was well worth the value! Great mix of artisan food and drink purveyors, and a wonderful behind the scenes look at the Portland food scene! Laura is a friendly and gracious guide with lots of insight - I highly recommend this tour!

I am myself a food tour operator. I do food tours all over the world; To have fun; To learn about he local food, history and culture; To get inspired and benchmark. This one was by far the best I've done. The spots chosen are all great. Very much behind the scenes (provisions factory and restaurant; tea factory, chocolate factory, micro brewery, local & seasonal restaurant), learning so much about those businesses through the talks with their passionate founders, staff or chefs. And, of course, all the tastings were just delicious! Thank you so much, Laura! I miss Portland and this area already!

I am a food tour operator myself in Copenhagen so my expectations are always very high going on food tours. To me it is important that a food tour is much more than "food". I like when culture and history is part of the tour, when only the best food is served and when you understand the reason why you are taken to a specific food place. I definitely think this tour had it all and we really got a taste of Portland and the stories behind the places. Portland is an amazing food places with SO much good food! Laura was a great guide and very knowledgeable. I can highly recommend this tour to everyone who are visiting Portland.
