I had never been here before Nik Turner (Hawkwind C-founding Member) was booked to play here. So I went early to check the place out.
The information I dug up indicated that it was open from 4PM till 2:30AM. And that it was a punk themed night spot.
I walked in and found the place reminded me of a dive bar with a large room for concerts. The door you enter into is the lounge. They serve food and drink. They have a heated outdoor patio around back which I visited frequently with Nik Turner throughout the night. No dressing room for the bands... so we went to the patio and chatted with his fans. Being the weekend before Halloween made this an interesting and fun time. Like seeing the dame in the Goats head outfit. I nudged Nik and said "Hey, look... there's a goat or a buffalo over there! Shouldn't that be mounted up on the wall?" We ran into here out on the patio and posed with her when asked if she could have a photo with Nik.
Before Nik Turner's Hawkwind arrived I tried out the food and drink. Had a grilled cheese sandwich and a Rainer Beer. I was surprised that they had some beer for $2 on the menu. GREAT!
The place was pretty packed during the show. Had a great time.
