Jennifer is informative and great at explaining the functions of the camera, in addition to keeping us interested and providing a generally fun and educating experience. I got a ticket to this tour as a Christmas present, and would consider going on another tour of hers whenever the opportunity presents itself!

Today I completed Jennifer's F-Stops & Shutter Speeds 101 and 102 classes. On my drive home, all I could think of........why didn't I do this years ago? Jennifer's teaching style was spot on for me and she provided plenty of examples that struck home. Her "in the field" approach really allows the new photographer to put her instruction into play.
I'm so happy I'm already scheduled to attend 6 of her photo tours around Oregon. This will be fun and a huge learning opportunity for me as Jennifer teaches us how to shoot different scenes with different light conditions.

Jennifer did a wonderful job leading, teaching and coaching us in our "Holiday Lights City Wander" class. She made sure to attend to all 6 of us, and her ebullient enthusiasm was infectious. Highly recommended.

This was a great experience. The photo tour was to photography Christmas lights and decorations in Portland.
We started with a discussion on camera settings and technique, then walked through Portland using those skills and technique. It was an opportunity for me to stretch my photography skills into new areas.
Jennifer was a great teacher and workshop leader. She founds great spots for us to take christmas photos lights, trees, people and decorations.
Her knowledge of both Portland and photography made this a great experience for me.

This was a great class for beginners and really showed you how to use your camera without being overwhelmed. I highly recommend it!

Night photography is third tour I did with Jennifer and it just keeps getting better. Learned a lot about long shutter speeds, exposing for different elements in the frame, and few little tricks for night photography. Overall great experience. I am looking forward to the next one.

This class was great! Jennifer started with the basics, teaching about aperture, shutter speed, and ISO. She was great at explaining the differences and when to adjust cameras accordingly. She then helped set up my camera, which was great because cameras now a days are so complicated with so many controls. She really helped me understand how to manipulate my camera better to get the picture I want. Then we walked around a couple locations downtown and took photos. Jennifer critiqued photos and explained how to make them better and how to control the camera better. Very helpful class!

Jennifer was incredible, super friendly and very informative! I had recently bought a new camera for an upcoming trip and took the tour to get my feet wet. Not only did she provide great information on F-stops, shutter speeds and ISO, she took the time to go over some of the functions of my camera with me. I really enjoyed my tour, and would recommend it to anybody who enjoys picture taking!

My daughter and I had a great time on a two-hour private lesson with Jennifer; she was kind and knowledgeable, helped us work from where we were at skill-wise, and learning while we took photos along the Portland waterfront was both interesting and effective. I'd highly recommend trying out a Portland Photo Tour, no matter what level your photography is at!

Jennifer is a terrific teacher. Wonderfully knowledgeable, providing information with humor and patience. I took the course having never used a camera except on automatic everything, which was photographing by luck and mostly bad luck results. The course taught me how to use aperture, shutter speeds and ISO. But also about framing a picture. My skills significantly improved. I highly recommend her classes.

Hi, I'm interested in doing a photo shoot in and around nice areas in Portland. Would this be something we could incorporate in a photo tour, or is this strictly for educational purposes where you learn how to take nice pictures? Ideally I'd like to do both.

Photo Shoots - $450, 50 images, 60-90 min, up to 6 people
Group Tours- $79-$89
Private Tours (instruction)- $250, 2 hrs, 1-2 people

Hi, I am planning a one-week road trip to Oregon. My interest is photography-landscape and seascape. I will land in Portland around the first-second week of September. I would like to include Mt. Hood and Crater Nat. Park plus the coastal regions. I know Crater is quite a bit south. So my question is what are the best places for photos and what would be a good itinerary? Any suggestions will be appreciated. I am driving on my own, so don't want to tire myself driving, but want to be sensible so I have time/energy for photoshoots.
