Had a great tasting today. Leila was amazing. Told us a lot about each wine and we had a great time. Bought three bottles to take home. And a club membership form! Love!

Fun little winery

My friend and I came from Seattle to an event here. It’s a cute little tasting room. Really hip! We had a good amount of space for about 35 or so people. There was still space for others to walk in and do tastings too. There were 3-4 different wines that they had for us during our event. I’m glad our event was here, I would’ve never stopped by here otherwise!

Mother Daughter Trip

My daughter & I traveled to Portland for a quick mother daughter trip. We decided to go to Hip Chicks because we loved the name. We sampled a lovely flight of wines hosted by Renee. We were fortunate enough to be the only people there at the time so we enjoyed a private tasting & learned a lot about the wines they produce & why they produce certain varietals. We also learned a lot about Portland & area. Thank you for being such an incredible hostess.

When we walked in there was an art class going on and the atmosphere was super fun. We sat for the flights of wine tasting and it was fun watching the instructor and the students. The wines were not as good as some others we had had, but the atmosphere made up for that.

I love it here! My daughter took us here a few years ago for their Memorial Day wine tasting parties, and it became a tradition. We joined the wine club and have definitely enjoyed the parties and of course the wine! The owners are friendly and the parties are the best. The wine is wonderful! My favorites are the Drop Dead Red, their Tempranillo, their white port, gosh, how can I pick?

Best urban winery

Amazing wines, fantastic staff and even better the wine! Such a fantastic SE industrial urban winery. So many wines to choose from. I love how they've kept it layed back and no fuss. Just good wine, good people, and great cheese boards. Definitely don't miss this stop on your wine treck.

Awesome Service and Unique Tasting Experience

Loved the industrial tasting room that was made over into a small tasting area + processing + storage facility for their wine. I would recommend this for large groups as they can accommodate many with their space and have outdoor seating as well. The tasting flight is very balanced and offers a variety of their wines with generous pours. It is $12 and worth it. They also throw in with the tasting their sangria if they have it on tap as well as some food pairings. Spent two hours here while it poured and would love to repeat the experience!

Always fun to visit here!

Laurie and Renee are great! They put together many fun events at the winery. I attended the wine and chocolate pairing for the second time. We got the VIP package which included a glass of bubbly and truffles to take home. The chocolates were delicious and well paired with the wines. I enjoyed all of them - even the white wines. Sorry I had to miss the wine pairing with Girl Scout cookies - that would have been fun!

Good wine, but too many pests

Servcie was good and wine was delicious, but we were overrun with fruit flies. They even have "cards" to place over your wine glasses to keep the fruit flies out of your wine. It's cool that they do it all there onsite, but we were a bit turned off by the pests.

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit and review our Urban Winery. Fruit Flies are a nuisance and they do make it a challenge for us during harvest since our tasting room is located inside our Urban Winery. This year those fruit flies have been even more of a nuisance because of our warm weather and early harvest. Luckily it is not a problem that we have to put up with year round. I encourage you to visit us again outside of our winemaking season.

No possible competition for wine in Oregon

Great entertainment today with local opera singers...but even their glorious voices could not help the poor quality of the wine. I had a flight, tasting 6 of their offerings and I cannot recommend even one. A funky atmosphere... And Box wine style - does not produce a great experience
