From start to finish we couldn’t fault a thing. We were asked questions to ensure the wineries selected were perfect for us. Our host Ralph was fun filled and knowledgeable about the wine valley as well as giving us a lot of top tips for Portland itself.
We’ve been lucky enough to take a lot of wine tours around the world but can’t recommend this more highly

We visited for my bachelorette trip in November and it was great. Ralph was kind, easy to talk with and shared so much knowledge with us. The food pairings he brought were delicious! We really enjoyed our experience!

Fantastic! We brought two out of town friends on a day tour of three wineries with lunch. Ralph the driver and guide is extremely personable and knowledgeable about everything Oregon wine and picked three great places to go - we’d asked for less well known vineyards but still in the McMinnville area. All three were very different but all had great wine and great staff doing the pours, who explained so much. By luck we came on the last picking day so we got to see some of the processing at one place, and got to actually taste the grapes right off the vine. Ralph also brought snacks and lunch so we were well fed all day. I would highly recommend this business for anyone interested in learning about or trying Oregon wines - whether you’re local or a visitor.

Had a great day with Ralph, touring the Dundee area with a group of friends. We visited Nicolas Jay, Brooks, and Soter. Ralph was a pro at driving and had a wealth of information that comes from years of experience in the local industry. We were in good hands and would not hesitate to call him again!

Excellent tour of the Willamette Valley! We had a fun and informative tour with David (we selected the private full-day tour (3 wineries)). Based on learning a bit about our interests/expectations before the tour, Grape Escape crafted a tour for us and even provided us a personalized printed itinerary at the pick-up point. We enjoyed the wine at each stop and learned a lot about the area as well. David also provided food pairings for us along the way which were quite tasty! Highly recommend this tour company!

We had an amazing wine tour! There were 3 of us on the tour to celebrate a friend, who is super into wine. Ralph made a personalized experience, was great at coordinating all of our wine preferences and food accommodations before hand, and was so pleasant. Our tour guide David was superb. Our group loves learning, and he answered all of our wine questions and was entertaining throughout the day. We really appreciated his insight and detail. This is probably the best tour experience I've had. Would highly recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our grape escape experience. Ralph planned many great wine tastings at smaller wineries we wouldn’t have found otherwise. Ralph brought so much great food as well as lots of knowledge on wine and the area. Couldn’t recommend this tour enough!

Ralph was a great guide, host, and very knowledgeable. The wife and I enjoy wine, but are not very wine savvy. He was a joy to work with and be with on our tour.

Booked with Grape Escape for a private full day wine tour of the Willamette Valley for my birthday. As soon as we booked, we received an email from Ralph (the owner and our tour guide) asking us about us and our interests for the day. From there he planned an amazing day for us. On the drive from Portland to the Willamette Valley, Ralph gave us the history of the area along with an intro to what we would be doing that day. We went to 3 different boutique wineries and it’s hard to choose a favorite as we loved and enjoyed all 3- the fall colors were peaking so the views were also incredible. In addition to the tastings, Ralph prepared a charcuterie board to pair with the wines and an amazing steak & grilled veggie lunch. When he heard we were going to do the Columbia River Gorge/Mt. Hood loop the next day he suggested a winery in the area for us to compare to the Willamette Valley wines. We did stop at his suggestion and had a lovely experience. Would highly recommend booking this tour and we LOVED Ralph! It was a highlight of our trip to Oregon, and if we return we will definitely book another tour with Ralph/Grape Escape.

We had a wonderful day with Ralph! He is so knowledgeable and kind. Was very communicative throughout the process and really curated just the best experience. The pick-up and drop-off at our air bnb was so convenient. Would highly recommend. Thank you Ralph!!!

In Oregon, pretty much anything goes, so wear what's comfortable for you. Comfortable shoes and the layered look (ie light jackets) are great as the weather here can sometimes change a few times a day... in a good way.

Great questions. Wineries are different for each tour. Once we get to know you'll, we'll recommend a progression of wineries matched to you. Pricing varies by tour. Most tours are private and available on a first come, first served basis. Let us know what date you have in mind.
