Eat Adventures Food Tour
Had an incredible Portland experience with Dylan, who has seemingly mastered walking backwards, dishing out knowledge and being a great host. On our 3 hour tour we visited 4 excellent establishments.
1. Luc Lac - Sugar Cane shrimp, cream cheese wontons were both amazing highlights. I likely would never enjoyed sugar cane shrimp in my life, if I hadn’t taken this tour. Sucking on a sugar cane, after chewing on a shrimp has to be tried to be understood. And the ginger infused coconut water drink gave us much needed energy.
2. Lardos - quite a hike to get here, but the fresh baked bread really spearheaded the Turkey Cubano sandwich. I was worried that non pork items would be second fiddle. Nope. The fact that this was a food truck just a few years back is cool. As is how this chef gives back to the food community by inviting other chefs to create rotating sandwiches.
3. lil shalom - Matt’s lustre punch was a truly unique punch drink. A little too much ice and finished much too quickly. The freshly baked pita with hummus might have been the best appetizer I’ve ever enjoyed?
4. 1927 s’mores - wow wow wow. What an experience. Lines should be waiting around the block. Appropriate interior design + watching then s’mores cook right in front of you might have risked being the main event. But eating it was heavenly too. And Dylan bought an extra one for Faiza which was very sweet of him.
While we walked, we learned about how i5 was moved, the 6 quadrants, no alleyways, bridges, elm trees and more. Really wonderful experience. Thank you Dylan!!

We did the downtown food tour with Dylan. It ended up only being the two of us and we are excited to have incidentally ended with a private tour. Dylan was a great storyteller and told us tons of history about Portland. We are tons of amazing local food and left very full. I thought the tour was worth the money and I would definitely do it again. Highly recommend.

My friend and I took a food tour with Alexis and were just thrilled with the experience! There were 3 things that really stood out: First of all, there were only 3 of us on the tour- but the tour was still provided! I didn't expect that to happen! The food was varied and delicious! Finally Alexis realized (yes- she was this awesome guide who listened!) that we liked history- so we learned a lot about the history of various buildings and even visited a couple of those as we were heading to the different restaurants. This was a great experience!

Such a fantastic tour! Besides all the delicious eats, we got a great sense of downtown and local haunts. Pat, our tour guide, was knowledgable, friendly, and answered all of our questions about the city. Thank you, Pat! Highly recommend.

Awesome tour and great food at every location. Guide was excellent and a wealth of knowledge. She really went out of her way to make the tour fun and enjoyable for all of us.

We had so much fun on this tour. We met the guide downtown, then spent three hours driving around Portland eating food. The perfect start to our vacation in Portland, and highly recommended.

Every bite was amazing from arepas to the bao. Angie also and some great stories and was very accommodating to my food allergies.

Great way to get your bearings - excellent food and history. Nice variety of food cart to bar food to high end. There was also a wine, beer, and cocktail offered to pair with some of the dishes. Was given lots of suggestions for where to eat in the future - good your to do on the first day of your trip

It was a rainy day but our tour guide adjusted and did most of the talking in the restaurants and on the move and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Great food and fun culture and art.

My wife found this walking tour and it was fantastic. The food was fresh and delicious. Donna our guide was great. Super knowledgeable and witty and fun. The portions were generous and the food was multi cultural. The walk was not difficult but wear comfortable shoes. Portland has tons to offer. Enjoy!!!

Two parking options are to park at SouthPark Parking Garage located between SW 10th & 9th on SW Salmon street. The parking rate fluctuates between $5-$9 for the afternoon. Another option would be to valet the car with the Heathman Hotel door staff for $14. Hope this helps.

Yes, I'm pretty sure there is. When you book a tour, you answer the following question: "Do you or anyone in your party have food allergies or special dietary restrictions? If so, please let us know so we can pass it along to our chefs!" Angie is very attentive to her guests and accommodating.
