First, for full disclosure, I never even got to the point where I was able to get services there. Their webpage is a MESS, making it difficult to determine what you're actually getting in any of the packages. On one page it will show one set of services and on another page it shows different services. Sometimes the price changes. Appointment times appeared and disappeared seemingly at random.
So, I called. I asked to clarify what, exactly, was in a specific package and how they arrived at the time listed (which didn't match the service times individually). At first, I was told that the 120 minute package included a 120 minute massage, 30 minute hydrobath and 25 minute rain treatment. When I got transferred to someone else, it became a 60 minute massage, 15 minute hydrobath and 25 minute rain therapy. When I asked how that totaled 120 minutes, they kept INSISTING that it was "much longer" than 120 minutes. Except, I can do math and it's not.
So I switched tactics and asked about their pedicures. I asked them to explain the difference between two similar-sounding pedicures. They listed the same services online except one was $20 more and didn't include polish. They couldn't actually tell me the difference. When I asked why the one was higher I was told the (very sexist) answer that men don't want polish. That still didn't explain the extra $20 difference.
Last, since the prices on their webpage were so inconsistent. I asked if they would honor the prices on the webpage and I was told that they would. However, when I asked them to put it into writing (via email), they would not.
So, either this place is completely incompetent and their staff doesn't know their own services OR this place is very dishonest and will bait and switch you like crazy. I certainly wouldn't expect them to honor the prices listed, based on the interactions I had with their staff.

This is a lovely spa experience - whether you're going to pamper yourself or for couple time - you will not be disappointed. The staff is warm and friendly and the owner is a beautiful lady who was also providing services! I was very impressed with the laid back yet luxurious feel of the spa. My massage and Vichy shower was very very good - I've been to many spas and this one is comfortable, cozy, easy going, very clean, and just a beautiful experience throughout - Thank You for a lovely afternoon Spa Sasse!

I received a massage from Alan. I get weekly deep tissue sports massages where I live. This weekend I was missing my massage because we were out of town and staying in Portland. I got in at the last minute and I was blown away at what an incredible massage I received from Alan! He is extremely skilled giving me a one-of-kind treatment incorporating many techniques. I will be back next time I’m in town!

I had an 80 minute massage from Alan that was truly amazing. He is a highly skilled body worker, found all my trouble spots and used the perfect amount of pressure, techniques, and pacing to really treat my body on a therapeutic level. Highly recommend!

I tried to redeem an old gift certificate my brother had given me for my birthday and was accused of stealing it!
Unbelievable!!
When the owner called me back about the certificate she immediately began talking about how she had had ones stollen and that she had no record of mine in her system so thus it must be one of the stollen ones. I was so taken back and appalled by this accusation!
NEVER in my life have I ever been treated so horribly! I was not even given the opportunity to explain it was a gift, I had all the cards and documentation of the $125 transaction. Sarah the owner only called me to accuse me of thievery.
The only logical conclusion I can draw is that she herself is a dishonest person and thus feels others are...
My review please choose another spa for Spa Sasse is owner by a horrible person!

My husband and I always look forward to our massages at Spa Sasse! It's such a fun, interesting place. That fact it's underground adds to the ambiance. Oh and the Massages are Wonderful!!! My husband had deep tissue by Noe and I had a Fabulous swedish massage by Jasmine. We loved every minute of it!!!

I love this spa. I visited five years ago and it was so great that I came back. Fantastic deep tissue massage, wonderful hydrating facial and talented professional therapists. I also love their skincare lines. I highly recommend Spa Sasse!

Pros: Dani gave me a lovely manicure and a killer hand massage. She was kind and aware that things weren't on point for a customer visit.
Alan was very kind and gave a nice massage. The Honey Bee Mine massage was fun and something different.
I left feeling relaxed which was the goal.
Cons: $25 for a basic manicure is pretty steep especially since I did not want polish. Your waiting room furniture could be updated. It would be great if your hostess was not painting her nails while she tended to customers. It made me feel like I was interrupting her.

I was in town for the first time visiting Portland. Spa Sasse was just around the block from my hotel. I stopped in on my first day, was able to make an appointment for the next day, and thoroughly enjoyed two hours of bliss with a 60 minute massage and full pedicure. The staff were pleasant, professional and experienced. The facilities are nicely appointed and the massage bed was very comfortable. Thank you for a relaxing, wonderful experience!
