I drop in to see what they have from time to time. Or to sell a few old items that I no longer wish to keep. There is always something interesting lurking inside. they are well stocked. So it is work walking around and seeing what things they have collected since the last time you visited. I didn't buy anything today, but enjoyed having a look anyway. It was a wet rainy day so was a nice place to go to stay dry and kill some time before doing my shopping at Fred Meyers.

This place had some very cool vintage clothes. There are so many strange pieces of clothing to choose from. A must stop if you like vintage and just plain crazy cool items.

This place is a must-go! I got this amazing long yellow, retro skirt with flowers on it. For $18! I could have spent forever in there but we had other places to go. If I'm ever in Portland again, I will be back.

Buffalo Exchange, Crossroads and Red Light each focus on a slightly different kind of used clothing. Since I am usually interested in buying professional clothes, I start out at BE because they have the largest selection of dress shirts, both long and short sleeve. If I am buying something a bit more unusual (say for a party), I will head to RL. I've found some good vintage suites there in the past (the quality and quantity changes with the buyers), and so I usually start at BE, then Crossroads, ending up at RL if I have any more energy or money left. The staff is the most friendly at BE, the least at RL -- but I usually don't need to talk to anyone except for checkout or if I am reselling. By the way, if I was selling back clothes, I would still stick to the above order. RL also smells of incense and funky hippy smells, so buy accordingly.

confusing. If they do not buy your stuff they throw it in a charity box to save you the trouble or taking it home. But then you can not take it off your taxes and you can get a lot more value from that. So I really wonder about those clothes. They are over stocked with whatever the counter help purchases from the resellers. Like what they wear, then you will like your shopping experience. They are kind of snooty, but then wouldn't resell a 1000$ coat I was trying to sell because it was above their customers budget.

Lots of crazy vintage and new clothing and accessories. It's a bit jumbled and chaotic and you need to watch sizing... I bought a shirt that said it a large but it's actually probably closer to a 2x.

Basically, it's like a giant drag queen's closet. That is, a giant closet belonging to a drag queen. Though I suppose it could be a closet that belongs to an obese drag queen as well. Either way, it's a great place to find some decent stuff. It is a little chaotic in terms of organization and such, but it's definitaly navigable. Definitely a staple.
