I admit it: I’m a stationary and paper goods lover (nerd?); I’m the kind of person who studies and seeks out paper shops when in a new city.
I could spend hour in Oblation Papers and Press. It has a huge selection of cards, many from its own original line. They are beautiful and unique and fun to browse. There’s a wonderful selection of journals—brands from around the world. The stationary selection features international brands and house-made sets with gorgeous papers. The pen selection is magnificent. And the place even sells vintage typewriters!
Staff were delightful and helpful. A special place to buy special papers to send correspondence to special people. What a gem.

Lovely little stationary shop. So many quality items made right here in Portland. Not outrageously priced for the quality. Enjoyed it! Like a little treasure of peace and simplicity in a Mecca if chaos.

紙製品の専門店ですが、ただのお店ではありません。
まず、店内奥で紙を漉いています。これにビックリ。そして、左奥には活版印刷機とタイプライターがずらり。これにさらにビックリ。ここまで本格的に紙製品と文具にこだわった店は北米では珍しいです。場所はパールディストリクトにあります。

Wonderful cards, hand made papers , gifts, books and the only store where I found a card for a 100 year old person. The employees are very helpful and can answer most questions.

What a perfect place for the stationery lover! I am an avid letter writer and journal keeper, and this place has everything you could possibly want. I had to restrain myself from buying "all the things." Fountain pens and inks, cards, writing paper, sealing wax and seals, notebooks, washi tape, planners, stickers, assorted papers .. and on and on. There is a vintage printing press in the back which is in use and visible for viewing. There is a line of vintage typewriters, with typing paper and ribbons for purchase. The store is wonderfully designed for browsing, and at every turn I gasped with delight and all the treasures therein. If you are not a letter writer/planner or bullet journaler or diarist, you will want to be after visiting this store. And the proprietors know their merchandise well and are happy to help you. I would move to Portland for this store.

They have a great selection of cards, handmade papers and stationary at this store! It's a find if you are looking for that special invitation, thank you or any other card for that particular friend or family member. I found the perfect thank you card for the parents who hosted the rehearsal and the wedding dinners.

I thought this place was just wedding invitations from the outside, but then I went in and saw the amount of options you have for when you need fancy in your paper. I just got a small note book which I liked, and they were actually weak on journal style notebook options, but this is not their specialty. If you looking for high end invitations or note cards for your business or private function then this is the place to go. I really enjoyed just looking around. I only wish they had a bigger selection of notebooks.

A friend recommended this store so I walked to it on a miserably rainy day. It was a nice break from the rain to wander through the store. Very reasonably priced for a "specialty" store. Liked the interesting little items in addition to the cards, stationery. Very friendly staff. Only downside for me was bird - could have done without that constant noise.

This is an awesome stationary store that sells vintage typewriters (that apparently work, so not even just for a decor item), has a printing press on site, and offers a wide range of ready-to-use stationary as well as custom. Also available to purchase are new and vintage pens/fountain pens and other stationary supplies.
