worth to visit anytime of the year. There are plenty of historical items to see ,like cars,vagons and even a stuffed cougar 👍

A packed, well managed museum of Polk county history. Covered wagons, quilts, wooden water lines, timber history... Lovingly maintained by volunteers and is one of the best small museums I have visited.

The staff are very helpful volunteers and there are MANY types of exhibits: Oregon Trail, logging, early post offices, founding citizens, rifles and arms, militaria,militaries, farming... the list goes on. HOWEVER, many of the pictures and displays are not adequately labeled or explained. Some were confusing as to significance. More signage and explanation would be very helpful. I just stood there too often wondering what something was. Otherwise I would give it a rating of 5.

The nicest museum I’ve ever visited . It has so much to see.
Everything is Polk County. They have a running train for children.
They are getting ready for a fund raising porch sale.
It’s looks like lots of great things.

I would call this museum average. If you want to go make sure and check the hours it's open because it's not open all of the time. If your really interested in Polk County history this place is for you. I believe it was $5 to enter.
