Minto Brown Island is a conservation area. It's accessible from Riverfront Park by going over a beautiful pedestrian bridge. It's so inspiring seeing so many walkers, runners, bikers, etc. being healthy and enjoying nature. My daughter liked seeing lots of woolly bear caterpillars.

Very large, mostly wild park on the banks of the Willamette river. Extensive walking/running/biking trails. Particularly beautiful in spring and summer when flowers and trees in bloom. Large dog play area. Great for a picnic, family friendly, but mostly a great place for a walk/run through woods and fields and get a feel of nature.

Minto Brown Island Park is across from Riverfront Park and accessed from Riverfront Park by a bridge. Trails and foot paths offer access to natural habitats

I went yesterday June 12, 2021 and it was a great place. All I saw were family's with kids having picnic's, other's riding bikes and people walking there dogs. There was nothing dangerous about this park. No tents on the trails, no sketchy people, no homeless people hanging around, like someone wrote a few months ago. I was by myself and felt perfectly safe. You don't need to bring a weapon-nothing dangerous. If you can bring your bike, it's a great place to go bike riding lots of trails and the bike trails connect with the riverfront park via a bridge.

From the dog park to the slough, a good day outside is possible here. Kayak, SUP, or just put a chair by the water and read a good book. Very peaceful.

To: Regret going here, you must be talking about the other two parks that are set up for the homeless to live in instead of taking up the downtown sidewalks. Two parks are designated for them and Minto Brown is not one of them. I have never seen tents there or shady people. I've always seen people with dogs and families. I feel as a 57 year old woman very safe walking by myself in the park. As far as the dead person. Yes, a young lady was recently found in the park but she committed suicide. Please when you share your posts, be sure you have the correct park you are reviewing. This one is very safe and beautiful. No tents.

I wasted 2 hours of my life here. And I write this review so that if you visit this place. Make sure you bring weapons and protect yourself. I was looking up trying to see the scenery everywhere and all I saw was shady tents. It concerned me that a place where I am supposed to be with my family was open after one day of finding a young lady dead on the trail. A dead person on the trail isn't anything new for this park. Hopefully if you are reading this, you can protect yourself if you go against your better judgment. This park is not safe at all and it is all a big lie.

Best park for walking, biking with friends or family. Nature everywhere from deer, eagles, ospreys, hawks, owls, woodpeckers and much more. Great pathways and easy walking for acres.

Minto Brown Island Park is one of the best parks out there. It's a relaxing place to walk and everyone is nice to you and it's a perfect place to bike and bring your dog with. I highly recommend going here if you want to start to lose weight.

Sorry, this is probably a little late but the shelter is that the third parking lot at the very end of the park.

Yes there are a few, I believe, down by the children's playground area all the way at the end of the road near the river.
