Stopped by the Salem Art Association - Bush Barn Art Center & Annex today. It was around 12 noon. My wife and I had been here before during the annual art festival and she wanted to look at ear rings. This visit she found several pairs she wanted to purchase. She waited and waited and waited for staff to stop chatting with, whom she believed to be artists, and register her purchases. That simply didn't happen. So realizing she was not a valued visitor she walked out without buying anything. I feel sorry for the artists that have their work on display for purchase. Perhaps the Bush Barn Art Center might consider some staff training as it relates to customer focus and care. After all its important to the artists and without them where would the Art Center be? There are many galleries in Salem where staff considers potential customers a valued guest. I'm fairly sure the impression we have today will last for a very long time.

We visited there before going to see The Bush Museum and was impressed by the quality of art and items and the friendliness of the staff. There certainly seems to be no shortage of talent in that community. The people of Oregon are some of the nicest folks I have had the pleasure to meet. We hope to visit again sometime.

Great place to spend a rainy day enjoying the history that it offers! Fun time feeding the ducks! Bring quarters to buy duck food!

I really enjoyed this gallery ,lots of neat affordable art in a neat old renovated barn. This barn was rebuilt in the 1960s after the original burnt. I would not take small children unless they are very well behaved.

The Bush Barn Art Center features local artists and has a wide variety of types of art. For example, you can find paintings, pottery, jewelry, metal work, wood pieces, etc.

I have loved to go here for years. The retail art is ever so tempting and the exhibits catch the eye, although exhibit space is limited. The Art Center is located in the center of gorgeous Bush Park, with a rose garden, playground, stadium, and hiking trails. The Historic Bush House sits a few hundred feet away. Exhibits change several times per year.

Can't say that I am a connoisseur of fine art, I know what I like, and there are many nice pieces of art here at the Bush Barn Art Center in Salem, Oregon. Sculpture, ink, pencil drawings, oil works, its all here,
and most are quite reasonably priced. Ask for Jennifer to answer any questions. Bush Barn Art Center is in back of the Bush House, high on the hill off Mission Street.

We visited in April when they had a really fun display of the local grade school artist's work. There were also tables for artistic creation that the grand children ccould do. First time visiting here for us, although we have lived in the area for 40 years.
