Elk burger was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. Also loved the beer flight which allowed me to sample 10 beers at a reasonable price.

I’ve heard a lot of good things about this place so we went for lunch. The inside decor is all British theme and really fun. The service was good. We had 2 different servers. We started with the scotch eggs, first time trying them and they were really good. The sauce on top was a mustard lemon sauce. I got the haddock fish and chips and it was a huge portion! It was battered fresh and had house made tartar and vinegar. It’s the best fish and chips I’ve had in Salem. My friend got bangers and mash and really liked them. They had alot of beer choices and a full bar. I would come back and try one of the savory pies!

Great food and great beer! Our server was awesome ( Geri sp?) and made great recommendations for food and beer. We look forward to going back next time we are in Salem.

COVID Restrictions 😟. Oh well still get to take out which was just as good. Ordered from counter and waited in car for 10 minute until food arrived piping hot. Aussie and Steak & Ale pies. Extremely 😋. Reminded me of the pies from Australia. Side of steak cut fries and mushy peas. Yep peas and quite a treat. You can order on line too. Oh by the way.. food was still hot when we sat down at home after the 20 minute drive. Beer is availability in cans for take out too. One of four best brew pubs in Salem Oregon.

Went for a special promotion- Kittens & Beer. The food was not good. Maybe if it hadn't been so busy with all the children in there, it would have been better. The best part of the food was the mushy peas.

I was in town for a basketball tournament and wanted to try a few of the local breweries - there are not many, but Santiam was easily the best we tried. The location is odd in that it is in the side of a building with no street visibility. However, once you walk-in, everything is great. The atmosphere is comfortable, there are a few TVs, the staff is welcoming (and happy to talk shop with you) and the beer is tasty. We did not eat, so I can't comment on the food, but it has a very English Pub style menu. I ordered the sampler and basically tried all of their IPAs and pale ales. The standout to me was the Bloody Hell Imperial IPA (8.5% ABV). It had a slight citrus finish and did not taste like a beer with so much alcohol (which is a huge compliment for an Imperial IPA). I will definitely go back the next time that I am in Salem.

Interesting beer selection. The bar tender said they sell all their own beers. I tried a cherry porter (not on list) and their coal porter (on list). Both were done nicely; not exceptionally different in some unique way but fine to drink. Menu not large; split between British (lots of mushy peas -- YUCK!!) and American (mostly burgers). Everyone (4 of us) seemed to enjoy their food and pretty much cleaned their plates as you would expect. Not crowded at all on a Tuesday. Outside seating at older picnic tables in shade with no cover; small pool table and darts inside, and some closed off room with more informal seating. Will go back sometime. Sign outside said "minors allowed."

We had the fish and chips it's enough for two people homemade mashed peas with it very good Portland organic ketchup oh my gosh best catcher you will ever eat great homemade tartar sauce they have full to play lots of beer to choose from to drink great place for a Friday or Saturday night medium price

Great customer service and food! Pretty good beers. My son and I had the $9 flight special on Mondays. That was a decent amount of beer! We also had the chicharrones and beer battered fries which were great. The chef even came around giving free dessert to introduce a new item. Nice bonus. Parking can be a little challenging during peak hours

Not impressed by the happy hour specials or food unfortunately. $7 for a beer is kinda pricey. The most skimpiest sides I’ve ever gotten with a meal! The brisket reminded me of a roast beef you make in a crockpot. Everyone was nice though and you can just hang out and minors are welcome.
