First of all, I had to verify what the name of this restaurant really is: "Open the Door" or "The Open Door", and the hostess who seated us laughed and told us she could see how it could be really confusing due to their slogan with the corkscrew's placement above the name! She then told us it was "The Open Door" which is what we had thought in the past when we ate here. Our friends in Sisters happen to be neighbors to the owners and were the first to tell us about the restaurant when we visited a couple of years ago. It is worth it for sure! This night I had the salmon which was cooked to perfection and we split the beet salad what was large and quite good. Also enjoyed the bread which came with oil and balsamic vinegar. The service was great and we told the hostess as we were leaving how well our server had done, and she told us he had just started a few days before! So Kellen, our great server, I told you that you would be mentioned in my TA review, and here's to you!! You did a wonderful job! Thank you!

Great atmosphere and our server was spectacular, We started our meal with a nice glass of Pinor gris wine. Delicious flat bread, Nice green salad and Delicious Lasagna. We come to sister's to escape the city life Vancouver WA. We were not disappointed. Also loved the music

IMHO this is the best restaurant in Sisters. The quality of the food, drinks and service is always top notch. On our most recent visit we had a table of 12 people and our server Ramsey was excellent!

The chicken salad sandwich on the croissant had a very good flavor, but they were skimpy with their amount of chicken salad on the croissant. The green salad that accompanied the sandwich was fresh and tasty. The special for the day was halibut with a mango/blueberry sauce on top of mashed potatoes. Even though we had requested that the halibut be well cooked, it was not. The mango/blueberry sauce and mashed potatoes were good. Our server, Brooke, did a good job and was pleasant.

The out door atmosphere was charming, but they seem to be struggling. Literally, our drinks, appetizer, salads, and entrees all came at same time. The table was small so I had to keep my appetizer plate on my lap. The salads were pretty plain with minimal dressing. My seafood lasagna was delicious, but that was it, no bread. My husband and son had MahiMahi and said it was overcooked and cold. The portions were also small on the fish. However, our waitress was delightful. Unfortunately, it was disappointing.

We had the Flat bread with the broccoli soup and the Miss Crenshaw Sandwich. Everything was great. The heaters were a welcome amenity.

Chose this for our anniversary dinner. Was not our first time here. Waitress extremely nice & accommodating. Food good, although I wish there were more choices, limited menu. Great atmosphere. Will definitely return.

Food was decent however the price for what you received was certainly lacking. Gratuity was included for parties of six or more. That evidently means giving very mediocre service since gratuity is not earned, but automatically included in bill. Being in the travel industry, this would rank in one of my more disappointing restaurants. I will never return to this restaurant again.

Sit back, enjoy the food and relax with some nice wine with your dinner. Outside seating provides a quiet great atmosphere to visit with friends.

Macaroni and Cheese happens to be one of my favorite foods, and this cute restaurant does it up right! A different mac 'n cheese special each day, and I was happy to learn that as a vegetarian, they could always change up a meat version to be vegetarian upon request. After all, their mac 'n cheese is made up fresh each day, and each portion at a time....so they can always accommodate vegetarians. Good to know!
I ate here twice within 2 weeks with my sister, it was that good! One day the special was Rigatoni with Sausage, sun-dried tomato bits, mushrooms, all in a creamy garlic/parmesan cheese sauce. It came with a small side salad of good greens, for $15. Absolutely devine! The second time we were there for lunch the mac 'n cheese special was Penne in a rose marinara sauce with a bit of cream, zucchini and summer squash. Again the side salad, and again delicious.
This is a really cute restaurant, with lovely courtyard-style seating outside as well. Beautiful artwork on the walls. Their intent is to welcome us the public as if to their home, thus the "open door" theme. They certainly achieve this, giving us a lovely food and comfort experience, good service, and dishing up plenty of wholesome food choices on the menu. This is a good place for vegetarians!
