Turning from the main road from Tillamook, we drove on a very narrow road that turns from asphalt to gravel. Only wide enough for one car at a time. At the end is a nice parking lot and the trail. It’s a short hike to almost the falls. All of the sudden there’s a wooden fence over the trail. Apparently a storm in 1990s felled several trees obstructing the last part of the trail which hasn’t been fixed. We dodged the fence and went a bit further to get a better view of the Falls. And they are magnificent Falls. At over 300 feet, they are the tallest falls on the Oregon coast. How can so little water be so wonderful. We watched and watched amazing at the beauty and that they didn’t stop.

The falls are beautiful. The hike is short and family friendly. Spent less than 30 minutes enjoying the view, taking photos and having the place mostly to ourselves...or so we thought!!! Returned to our car with the back window smashed and all our belongings stolen. We had just arrived to Oregon from the East Coast and were enjoying the drive down the coast. Nothing was left out in plain sight but no matter. The car alarm did not go off. Apparently it doesn't if you go thru the back window of an SUV. No cell phone reception, drove down the road to call 911 and discovered the tire was punctured. Police informed us that this happens hundreds of times a week. My advice, avoid this stop or leave someone behind to watch the car. Thank you everyone that helped us! If the individual(s) that committed the smash and grab read this, all you had to do was ask...if you were in need, we would have gladly helped. Please read the Bible in our bag.

The falls are pretty and the hike is short and very easy for young children but two cars in the parking lot had been broken into with windows smashed when we arrived. Don’t leave any valuables in your car. We also left our car unlocked just to make sure windows weren’t broken. We heard that the police get hundreds of calls about ins here.

We walked to the falls a couple days ago and had a nice time. The path is narrow and not well maintained. There is growth impinging on the path through about half of the walk. The walk is short but the waterfall is very tall and beautiful. We were disappointed at the end of the trail, suddenly there is just a wooden rail up across the path and you can’t go any further. There is no area for a group of people to stand and look unobstructed at the waterfall. This is a nice short walk for those who can’t walk very far for a beautiful waterfall.

Beautiful walk through a fairy forest along a running stream. Trees are covered in moss and trail is veiled by trees. Falls are stunning.

We visited these beautiful waterfalls in a rainforest. It was easy walking with wide and well-maintained paths.

The falls were amazing but beware of the access road which is narrow, bumpy & poorly maintained. A small parking area but as we were the only visitors on this day, that wasn’t a concern. The path to the falls was in good condition, short & easy to follow. We stayed in Tillamook so this was just a quick stop nearby.

I've read in many reviews about folks not seeing an absolutely huge Sitka Spruce tree on the Munson creek falls trail. It sits off the right hand side of the trail about forty yards as you near the the end of the trail. Being an old logger, I spotted this tree from afar as it stands 260 ft. Tall. It is said to be the second largest Sitka Spruce tree in existence. There is a slight trail leading down and crosses the creek and you can walk right up to it.

This is a great place if you don't want to do a major hike, but want all the benefits of one. The trail is well maintained and the views of the forest are delightful. We weren't able to make it all the way to the falls because of the felled trees, but the views were great.

The road to the park is not smooth - be aware and take your time. But it's so worth it! The waterfall is reportedly the highest in the range, rivalling all of the falls in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area but without all of the crowds. The short trail to the falls from the parking area is beautiful as well.

Can I park my travel trailer somewhere over there, or should I just bring the car?

I wouldn’t recommend trying to drive the trailer down that road. You’ll do better with a car.

We went up the path....didn't know about the observation area. The path is steep in some places and there are a couple of sets of stairs. So you would need to go to the small observation area with a wheelchair.

Bringing grandma along and friend in wheelchair is the hike easy with little or no elevation change? Is the path ok for a wheelchair?

I would also agree it is not suitable for a wheelchair. Also not a huge elevation change.
