In short, Elke and Alysia are BEST in class guides. We've been fortunate to fish a fair amount (though this was our first time fly fishing) and this was without question the most MEMORABLE experience we've ever had.
Elke is truly gifted. He's an expert at fly fishing in his own right and equally adept at teaching the art form. Alysia's positive energy and enthusiasm are infectious. They're patient and encouraging for newbies and observant in refining your technique to help you continually improve. They are a "dream team" pair.
You will learn how to fly fish and you'll catch fish which is fun and exhilarating but you will also leave with a renewed sense of appreciation and respect for Mother Nature. Elke and Alysia, THANK YOU for sharing your knowledge, skills, passion for our environment and history of your culture. We already can't wait for our next visit!

I am a single mom with a 7 year old son. This was our first time on a guided trip and our first time fly fishing. WOW! Very friendly, patient, kind, helpful, knowledgeable. Easy to learn, relax and have fun. We fish a lot and have yet to catch anything. My son landed his firs fish on this trip. I recommend Littleleaf Guide Service to anyone who has children. Mine is high energy and doesn’t always stay on task and that was not an issue at all. Alysia and her son worked at his pace and at his level. Used words he could relate to. Didn’t push or rush him. Encouraged him and supported him. They quickly got him feeling comfortable and engaged, successfully making longtime friends in my son and me. They answered every question he asked, showed him anything he was curious about. We tried a half day because I didn’t know if he was going to like it. We are currently saving to book a day long trip, he loved it so much. He hasn’t stopped talking about it. Wants pictures so he can take them to school. Made sure I posted them to facebook. This trip is a moment I will always be grateful for.

We had a great day on the river fishing with Littleleaf guides. We caught 6 trout over 20 inches. Alysia was a great guide experienced & patient with us. She put us on the fish time after time. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a great day fishing.

My gal and I had the pleasure of going on a trip with Elke and his wife Alysia (owners) of Littleleaf Guide Service. The hike in was amazing scenery and once we got tot he water it was non-stop action fishing! Hookup after hookup on all hog bull trout! My gal landed her first bull trout after a 10 minute battle...could have been a better day than what these guys provided. We lost count how many hogs were landed that day. Top notch hospitality, food & drink and knowledge of the area. Not to mention the superb skills taught on the water. This is a must do experience for any angler of any level.

Our family of 4 took a rafting trip with Littleleaf Guide Service down the Deschutes RIver. We floated the Whitehorse rapids section on a full day trip it was great both our children ages 8 & 12 had a blast. It was the best family rafting trip in central Oregon. Our guide was very knowledgeable on the cultural history of the warm springs tribe & area. The food was fantastic & river was fun we recommend this trip to any family looking for a rafting trip in Oregon

We spent the day with Elke & Alysia fishing the Deschutes River. We have been on guided trips all over the world and this experience ranks as one of the best. I caught over 20 trophy size rainbow trout and my wife caught 15.
