Went there as this winery deservedly rates in the top 5 Hunter Valley Wineries.Really extensive range of wonderful wines.Expertly presented in a very informative tasting by Tim.Such a great knowledge and a terrific manner in the presentation.

Such kind staff! Made our stop of wine tastings and glass of wine very fun. Recommend! Cute, quaint inside. Great Location in town near everything else.

FYI - this is now BellaTerra Vineyards, I plan to check it out later today. Will report back in but as they bought the same vineyard I have hopes for good wines.

I always make it a point to stop at Briar Valley winery when I’m in Bedford and have bought several wines over the years. Just opened a 2015 Cabernet Franc that I’ve had in the cellar for a few years now. Unbelievable! Really enjoying this one so much. Also love their 2017
Chardonnay and I am not one to drink Chardonnay usually but they encouraged me to try it and it’s one of my favorites.
So next time you are in Bedford or even driving past Bedford on the turnpike, Briar Valley is definitely worth the stop!

My wife and I loved our experience at Briar Valley tasting room. I would highly recommend. The wines were great and the staff stayed late to complete our tasting. We enjoyed the Chardonnay.

My husband and I travel to varying wine areas and enjoy tasting great wines. We never expected our favorite experience and favorite wines to be found in the small town of Bedford, PA!
The host for our tasting was very knowledgable and helpful and the wines are wonderful. Their consistent high marks and rewards attest to that, as well. We left with a case of wine, but have since ordered more, as they also have online purchasing available.
Their wines are more Old World style or French style wines, so those who only like sweet wines might not prefer this winery. If you are serious about wine and/or enjoy complex and dry wines, this winery is a hidden GEM.
We hope to go back to Bedford, PA soon, just to go to this winery shop again, but are most grateful they have online offerings. If you want other things to do in the area, Frank Lloyd Wright's Falling Water is nearby and a historic inn at Bedford Springs is very close.

I’m a wine snob, so I wasn’t expecting much from Pennsylvania wines, but these were a pleasant surprise. The wines range from good to very good, and there are many varietals. The staff is knowledgeable and very nice. Definitely worth a stop.

Old building nicely restored and well decorated. Comfortable seating. Very enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff. Good dry reds (merlot, house blend) which is unusual locally - a little pricey

We enjoyed our tasting here. It’s not a huge facility but they do a nice job with their tastings. The gentleman working with us was very knowledgeable and helpful, and we enjoyed all of the wines that are part of their $8 tasting.

I will be travelling with a couple of children on Friday. While the adults are in the storefront for a tasting, is there somewhere nearby where I can entertain the children?
