The speedway has been around since 1936. So it has a lot of mileage. But really enjoyed my first dirt track speedway visit. You do get a little dusty from the fast races. And would recommend they improve the sound system. But keep it as original as possible.

Races should be somewhere away from this small town. Ruins the otherwise very nice experience of visiting this community.

i love going to the fabulous bedford speedway . it is nice to take family and friends and just enjoy a friday evening watching your favorite driver . and the food is good too .

I only got to see it from the out side as it rained out the racing that day but it was still good just to see the track that so many of my childhood heros raced on.

We have been to the track a few times. Fun to watch the different class cars on the oval dirt track. So fun to see the young kids in their cowboy boots, the young teens starting to flirt & the parents watching the race - and the kids. To me this is the epitome of small town America. Love it.

Love this track. Food is good, reasonable prices, show is great. Car counts are always good. Crews do a wonderful job preparing the teack. Love the grandstands with a roof over. My kids love this track.

incredible noise! permeates entire area, even more than a mile away. house in the area are treated to much dirt from track. terrible inconvenience for those not into this "sport."

This track is like a step back in time, and I mean that in a good way. Big 1/2 mile with covered grandstands. These fairground type race tracks seem to be less and less with each year that passes, so it's nice to see one still surviving and putting on a great show each and every Friday evening during the season. I'm a huge race fan, and enjoy the opportunity to visit here once a year. Being that it is about a 3 hour drive, I don't get a chance to attend as often as I would like. Definitely check it out if you are in the area, you will be glad you did.

Nothing compares with the thrill of a half mile dirt track..The sights, sounds, & the smells of excitement of Friday night racing are something you never forget..The promoters are first class, the fairgrounds themselves are classic, and with all the other great things going on in Bedford; why not make a weekend of it ? My first visit was in the early 60's; now I'm in my early 60's and still get that feeling of excitement in my stomach on race night...Family entertainment at its finest, I bring a date & make her drive home.(she's crazier than i am), but with all the affordable lodging, & restaurants we've extended it out to Sunday on more than a few occasions...

The speedway, located on the grounds of the Bedford Co Fairgrounds offers combinations of late models and sprint car racing every Friday night. Truly a full half mile on the inside, it has attracted the biggest names in motor sports over the years. Great family entertainment. Announcments have been made for the construction of the " Museum of Speed", which will be located at the track and will serve to memorialize the history of racing in this part of PA and MD.
