We took a trip from Michigan to Atlantic City traveling through Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland and Indiana taking different routes going out and coming back. The plan was to hit 31 casino's in 5 days. The thing is, once inside they all pretty much look the same. Same slots, same amenities. We stop to play for an hour or so and what determines how long we stay and how we rate a casino is if there is anything spectacular or different about it and whether the slots are really tight or we can at least play for a while on our money without losing it all within 10 minutes. I rate this as average based on all the other casinos we visited. Same basic slots as everywhere else, not tight but not loose either. I'd stop again but probably wouldn't stay for more than an hour. The goal was to hit the three Philadelphia casinos, Harrahs and Rivers casinos but trying to drive through the Philadelphia area was just terrible so we skipped the other two.

Stopped in for some live racing. Could do a lot better with the social distancing. Crowded in food service area. Good service and food selection was very good. Cheese steak was excellent. Very friendly and helpful staff. Outside track could use a little more beautification. Excellent views of the races. Plenty of parking.

machines are rigged! used to be able to get a lot of free spins with good pay out. but now its super hard to get free spins and when you finally do the machines dont pay out! they are always fixing, updating, or adding something so i guess they are rigging the machines to make up for the cost! i know its called gambling but this casino sucks and its rigged

I attended Parx Race Track for the Pa Derby, It was a very festive day. No other area race track offers this special day. The free hat giveaway was fantastic. Staff was friendly and well prepared for the event

Felt that there was shorter wait time in between races so they really kept things moving. The place smells a little of stale (cigarettes?) and probably needs an update. Outside was fairly clean. The one person I had contact with a the wager desk was pretty friendly - mixed reviews insofar as the food service staff. Had a very nice person help me with drinks but my husband and his friend had an entirely different experience where the staff got somewhat snippy if you didn't order fast enough. We were able to take the kids to a designated area between where they clean off the horses and the paddock which they loved. We had a wide range of kids accompanying us between 3-11. There was a playground but it was in the direct sun and too hot for any of them to want to use. Pretty much everything was cash only which was to be expected. Signage getting there should be improved although the facility itself (which is adjacent to the casino) is hard to miss.

Oddly enough, the addition of the casino and entertainment complex HAS improved the horse racing experience as well. Not long ago, it was called Philadelphia park and had racing only. It was a fairly joyless, sparsely attended place for the hardcore horsemen and bettors only, and their numbers were dwindling.
But to attract the casino crowd, and later the nightlife and live entertainment crowd, facilities were upgraded, including restrooms, bars and dining. A new casino building was added, and an entertainment venue. The energy and youth are back, including in the racing crowd. There is a great outdoor family picnic area at the head of the stretch which is a great place to see the exciting part of the races. You can bring in anything but alcohol.

Went to the race track with the wife and the grandkids ages 8 and 5. They enjoyed looking at the horses and watching the races on the big screen. We let them pick a horse in each race. We stayed for 5 races and they had picked 3 out of 5 winners. Fun had by all.
You can pack a lunch and sit in the picnic area and watch the races.

Having driven for 40mins, we arrived to a very cheery and positive lady selling programmes.
This was the last positive of the day.
The late back, snotty, miserable guest services only interested in talking crap with friends, was only matched by the aggressive bar.and restaurant manager who had.no interest for anyone.except the regulars.
We went to the 3rd floor as no where.allowed bar regulars on ground floor..despite being empty.
Bar.closed due to man off sick so i go to buy a round on ground to hand carry to 3rd. Bar maid cant sell me 2 beers, we have to come and buy one at a time.... need i go on...
The place needs to be much more.accomodating to tourists....

Parx has live horse racing on Monday, Tuesday and Saturday every week. First race goes off at 1:55 pm So you should get there by 12:30 to see the horses in the post parade. This past Sunday they had live racing for Father's Day. From down town Philly it is about 25 - 30 minutes. You would take 95 north to the Street Road exit West. Parx is about 5 miles down on the right side. Make a right turn into Parx right before the Applebees. Of course the time also depends on the amount of traffic.

I have a 10 year old,13 and 15 year old I'm taking to the race track July 31st to watch live racing and bringing a small cooler with water and soft drinks to bring with us. Is that ok and where would we sit,
