The Water Gap is a great place to visit in the Poconos. Perfect for biking, hiking, kayaking/rafting/canoeing etc. Many great scenic outlooks. The park has been preserved since it was took over by the NPS. The river is pristine north of the 80 bridge.

Sono passato dal water gap in autobus dUtah te un’escursione guidata. Area immersa nel verde con acorci molto belli del fiume Delaware che si incunea tra due vallate verdi e rigogliose

Couldn't park by the trails - area was full. In defense it was a sunny beautiful Saturday, might not be like that normally. Ended up crossing the toad and parking by picnic benches and wandering around there a bit. Worth a visit.

This is a very pretty area. We did the Mount Minsi Loop; we thought we were doing the fire road loop; nope, got on the hard one somehow. Be smarter than we were: wear hiking boots, long pants, a backpack to keep your hands free, and a walking stick. The trail we got on had white markings; these markings might be on a tree or up on a rock you need to climb. Pay attention! If you want to look around, stop first. Highly recommend downloading AllTrails prior to doing these trails.

An absolute gorgeous place to raft on the river and hike. So many peaceful spots to enjoy quality time with family. The air is so fresh and water is so clean!

I was looking to bike the trail along the river on the PA side and it was good for a bit then became a steep hiking trail in parts not far out of Milford, unless you have a lot of time and a mountain bike id stay on 209 which is a good road to bike with light to moderate traffic and some shoulders in parts better than others.

We parked at the Lake Lenape Trailhead off of Mountain & Lake Roads & hiked the Appalachian Trail as it winds through the Gap, and climbed Mt. Minsi. The trail is well marked and, except for where it breaks off to start going up Mt. Minsi, it is well maintained & clear. The side visit to the cliff offers a bird's eye view of the Delaware River (&, unfortunately, I-80) & the hills beyond. There are a few unique aspects of this trail, one being the "rhododendron alley" (you walk under and through a tunnel of rhodies), another being the boulders to climb & scramble over, also the rock cairn area (make sure to add a flat rock of your own!) & then the easy-walking fire road that many folks take to make the loop & walk back down to the parking lot; totaling about 5,5 miles. You can see Mt. Tammany off to the left just before reaching the top of Minsi & then the view from the top (walk past the antenna tower & you will see signs for "the vista") is better than average. The Park itself has lots more to offer, but we enjoyed this little slice of it for now. Walk around the hiking-friendly village of Delaware Water Gap once you come down off the Trail.

Not much more to do than drive through it, unless we missed something. Lots of corn and soybeans. We thought we'd be able to see the cliffs that we knew were to one side, but they were hidden by foliage. We didn't do any of the hikes because by the time we saw the pulloffs, they were either full or we'd driven past.

Hiked up Mt. Tammany. Loved the area. The wind was blowing super cool and met some amazing people during the hike. The site seeing was great. One thing I wouldn’t recommend is for people to walk along the fire trail (Appalachian trail) too far . There was nothing to see there. Walked an extra 2 hours (there and back) for no reason. Saw a bunch of ferns and a snake. That was all. The Catfish Pond was actually a private reservoir.
