Beautiful, unspoilt cove

Visited here as part of a days visit to Fowey. Car park is just up the road. Reasonable price to park compared to other venues. Beautiful, unspoilt cove. Very quiet when we went but should think it can get quite busy. Lovely clear water and sheltered. Pub right on the beach. Didn’t use it so can’t comment on it. Toilets up the road were poor to say the least. Uncleaned, no soap or water to wash hands, broken cistern to toilet and overpowering smell of stale urine. Would have given 5 stars were it not for these.

Lovely beach for families

Had an absolutely lovely day at Polkerris beach which is great for all the family. The beach itself is sandy and nicely sheltered, and there are plenty of facilities including public toilets, pubs and a nice beach shop. The only negative is the car park is a short walk up the hill from the beach and can get busy, so if it’s a sunny day then get there early!

Just beautiful

This is a fabulous beach. Clean. What a great part of the world. Had an absolutely beautiful time on this beach, water was warm and it was a winner for us.

Nice and small

Nice small little beach, nice shop there to get possible essentials, water activities. Although it’s small it is still a great place to spend the whole day even if busy. Previously when we’ve come here we have had to park far away but the walk down was nice but this time we parked close and it was great.

Keinen Besuch wert

Total überbewerteter Strand. Es gibt so viele schönere Strände. Schwarzer Sand und relativ überfüllt. Massentourismus und wenig Charme.

Beautiful but too busy for us.

Just too busy in the holidays. Lovely parking on the field above, steep incline walk to the beach. Beautiful bay but too busy for us. Limited space to sit when the tide is in. Probably one for us to visit out of season.

Small but pretty!

The beach is a short walk from the car park. It’s quite a small beach when the tide is in but nevertheless lovely. Lots of swimmers enjoying the small sheltered cove! Lovely pub and restaurant overlooking the beach.
