Lessons booked with the school over a month ago for May half term only to get an email today to say they are not offering lessons at Perranporth this year.

Sorry we are not running in Perranporth this summer. Moving to Watergate has been a long term plan and one that only became a confirmed reality in the last couple of week. We are now busy making sure we are open for easter and beyond. If you cannot join us in Watergate Bay, you are of course entitled to a full refund. Sorry again for inconvenience caused.

What a brilliant group of people to learn surfing with! Ok, I will be honest, I wasn’t up for it but for children, it’s great! The leaders are relaxed and so professional. My kid couldn’t wait to get down for his lessons. I would totally recommend Ticket to Ride.

The surfing was great fun and cool. The staff kept me safe in what proved to be a very rough, choppy and challenging sea.

Took our sons for their first surfing experiences in October half term and Julian and the team were great.
The boys loved it even though the conditions were tough, they said that the instructors were always on hand to give coaching and advice to make the most of the session.

Julian and Charlie are easily the coolest guys I've met this year. If you're looking to hire a board or learn to surf these are the dudes to go with.

Great fun session run by the instructors. Made us feel more at ease as we were first timers. Great that they were there in the sea with us - giving us tips along the way, stabilising the board occasionally and laughing when I got wiped out!

Thanks to Julian and the team Oliver, Charlie, sonny, AA and Ivan for another great set of lessons. The whole family had a great time with a great team and look forward to next year. Thoroughly recommend to others!!

Great instruction, great kit, great time had. Helpful with the range of abilities we had and great with parents and children a like. Safety aware and always on the look out to make you feel safe and have fun. All of the instructors encouraged us with constant tips and reminders whilst in the water. We all even got to our feet on the first day!

Hello,
Can someone please tell me how long the lesson is with the ‘surf & hire’ packge? Also, if you get the board straight after or is it for a certain time period/slot.

Surf lesson is 2 hours and then the hire is for the rest of the day. You’d probably want to get some lunch after your lesson and start again when refreshed

We got 5mm wetsuit
Felt really warm :)
And even learnt how to stand on the board in our first lesson ;)

can you hire surf gear in the winter months? And is it worth going surfing during the winter in Perranporth rranporth?

You will probably find somewhere to hire out surf boards but I would suggest doing a search as the sea temperatures are really cold Atlantic and due to poor weather conditions they are suffering some bacteria in the sea.
