I haven’t ridden for 32 years. I went to Reen on recommendation and I am so glad I did. The people who worked there were so lovely, asked lots of questions and I need up on a big gorgeous hairy boy called Guinness. The others in my group were four people who had never sat on a horse, two young women who hadnt ridden for a while and me!
We had an hours ride in lanes around the stables. It was a beautiful day and the horses knew exactly what to do and when to do it. Scenery was superb and I thoroughly enjoyed the ride. Meg held three of us back and we had a bit of a trot at the end, which was lovely and made me want more! My aim is to do a beach ride so I will go on a couple more one hour rides and then hopefully I’ll be ready for the canter!
Can’t praise the people here enough. All the horses were in fantastic condition, happy, healthy, well groomed. Guinness shone beautifully in the sun and the tack and yard was very tidy.

Me and my 2 daughters aged 12 and 8 booked on for the 1 hour ride, my daughters are confident riders and I was a complete novice.
I was so scared at first and nearly bottled it but with some lovely encouragement from the staff I stayed on and completed the ride and I am so glad that I did, the ride was amazing, the scenery was stunning and Jake was an absolute star.
My girls rode blue and Kyle and were aloud to break away from the group and go for a gallop which they absolutely loved, they have not stopped talking about this since.
Horses are very healthy and well behaved. We will definitely be returning in the future.

My 15 year old daughter has done quite a few 2-hour beach rides with Reen Manor over the past couple of years- so much so that it has become a factor when booking our holidays in Cornwall to make sure we aren't too far away!
She did another one yesterday- the Reen Manor team are truly fantastic. They are professional, friendly and extremely competent. They make sure that each rider is properly suited to the horse they are given and check out each individual's experience before embarking on the ride. They then check out each rider during a 'test canter' on the dunes before deciding whether they are able to go in the 'fast canter' group or whether they would be safer in the slower group.
We would like to say a special thanks to Lily for yesterday evening's 2 hour beach ride. Lily was brilliant at leading the faster group. They enjoyed several fast canters along the beach and Lily even managed to take some gorgeous photos of the riders in her group (when they stopped for a rest) with the evening sun in the background- such a brilliant momento! My daughter had an amazing time and can't wait to come back during our next trip to Cornwall! Thank you so much Reen Manor- you are all fab! We would highly recommend the 2-hour beach ride.

I did the 2 hour hack. They were very kind and helped a lot. they gave a lot of tips along the way and warned everyone if there was going to be any steep areas etc… we did a practice canter to make sure everyone could do it and then galloped along the beach which was very nice. I have my own horse but have never been able to run along the beach, so this was so much fun and I would recommend. Horses there are very healthy and behave so well !!

My daughter and I went on the beach ride.
My daughter as a competent rider had a great time riding on the beach. As an untrained adult I had a lovely time hacking through the dunes.
The scenery is lovely. The horses are well trained.
It was well organised, efficient, safe yet relaxed.

Brilliant stables, all the horses are in great conditions. The staff were lovely and helpful. Everyone was accessed for riding ability so the novices had a good work and trot and the more experienced could have some love canters on the beach, Claire

I stumbled upon here looking up things to do in Perranporth and boy was it worth it! For me this was THE top thing to do, this riding school has been going for years and all the riders are local and know the area very well, right down to what to look out for on each stretch of the trek. Booking was great, I booked one day and turned up the next - great responsive comms. We are novices and were issued helmet and matched to a horse for your height and weight. The instructors were really patient and advisory too. We booked the 2 hour trek which was just fabulous, over sand dunes and the beach, on such a lovely sunny day too. For those that are more experienced you get to trot and canter but I was quite happy to walk and appreciate nature and the horses! (Gracie and Albion for us!) We really thoroughly enjoyed it, and would definitely do again!
They have good car parking, toilets and card payment facilities. What a joy to be there!

I booked a 2 hour beach ride from Reen Manor and had a wonderful time. The ride was mixed ability but as I’m more experienced me and a guide split from the beginners once on the beach and were able to have canters along the shoreline, which made my week. The horses were awesome and so well behaved and sure footed. I felt safe, relaxed and very very happy. Thanks to all the staff and especially to the wonderful horse Noah. He’s an angel. X

I have ridden many times with Reen Manor Stables since discovering them 6 years ago on a trip to Cornwall. The lanes and pub ride are fabulous with stunning views but the really gem is the 2 hour beach ride. Walking and trotting over the sand dunes with a canter and gallop along Perranporth beach is an absolute dream come true! The escorts are so friendly and encouraging having the hard task of balancing your riding desires with the importance of maintaining your safety and they really do shine at what they do. The horses are so well cared for and well mannered and the views are stunning. Communication before the ride is quick and easy. Thank you Reen Manor for yet another wonderful beach ride! See you soon

Had a lovely ride at Reen Manor with two of our grandchildren. It was their first time riding and the staff were really helpful and reassuring. We all had a great time and will definitely be back.

What kind of prices/ length are available, just to get an idea and also is it ok for 7-9 year old also..

There is many options from 30 mins to 2hrs for all abilities. Did a beach ride the other week with beginners and those with 16yrs experience. The prices are at the bottom of their 'rides and treks' page. Check out the website here reen manor stables. com/rides-and-treks/ ☺️❤️

From the stables you cross the road and go down a bridle path towards the beach.Its a nice ride to the beach going down the dunes to the shoreline and riding along it and then retrace your ride back to the stables. It is a direct route and not a great distance at all.
