Spotlight on the workings of a tin mine. Learnt all about bal maidens and buddles. Perfect self service tour for couples or families run by the son of a former tin miner. Great!

We had a walk around the exhibits then went into the shop, the owners were really nice to talk to and gave a small demonstration of pouring hot tin into a mold.

Gentle journey around the site taking you through the arduous process of extracting tin from start to finish, with real, working machines. Beautiful surroundings, very engaged owners. We loved the demonstration of making tin jewellery and my daughter bought a sweet little cat pendant as a reminder.
Beautiful little cove visited during the trip - wear sturdy shoes to get to it.

The view as you come down the steep and windy road is stunning but if you've got a wide car you won't get in the (free) car park at Trevellas Cove as it's seriously restricted. The small beach is pretty and the view back up the small river makes you wonder what it would have been like when mining was actually being done.

Having been to a bigger attraction many years ago and not being very impressed, I was intrigued by this place that I cycle past when we visit Hayle and I go out exploring.
As has been said, it's a small place but the intimacy is what makes it special, the people that own and run it are very nice too. I learned a lot more here than I did at the other place, it was very interesting and for us, well worth the entry fee. Thank you.

Despite the feeling that you are driving off the end of the world as you descend down into the Blue Hills valley its well worth the effort. I spent ages watching the seal in the sea and walking along the stones at low tide to get to St Agnes beach, and buy coffee in the lovely coffee shop in town, before walking over the cliffs back to Blue Hills and down the Jericho valley.

Having stayed in St. Agnes 3 times previously, I don't know why we have never been here before! On arrival the hubby grumbled about the entrance fee, but by the time we left he said he thought it was well worth it. Took about an hour to get round and then bought a little handmade souvenir in the gift shop. Very interesting and the people who work there were very helpful and informative. Majority is outside so bring a brolly in case it rains!

Probably the third year we have been , we learn something new every time we go. Mark and his mum have all the time to tell you the history, nothing is to much trouble . Bought some beautifuly made Xmas gifts , which we were shown how they are made , all hand crafted moulds , which are firstly drawn in pencil to get the pieces just right .Have you tried the honey? From their own bees that live just up from the stamper 👍👍👍👍👍yummm it’s a must . See you next year2021 fran

This is the only tin mine in operation in the UK. Interesting museum, friendly staff and small shop selling the goods they make on the premises, couldn't resist buying a pendant and earrings.

wow this place is steeped in history.. and was fascinating to see how the tin is extracted and made into loads of trinkets, ear rings and brooches. guy was very helpful, he is the only person licensed to excavate any rock etc that falls from the rocks near the beach.

Follow the road towards Beacon Farm at St. Agnes. There is a car park on the left, just before the farm, and then an easy walk of about a third of a mile.
