Somersby Falls picnic area and walking trac are closed - even the Car Park is blocked off. This is including access to the waterfalls - all will be closed until 30 June 2024 while the picnic area is being upgraded.

As beautiful as ever. I visited here 13 years ago and it still looked almost the same as it looked then. If you ever come close to this spot, you really should visit. The way there is a little bit difficult, a lot of stairs up and down, but if you don't mind this, I can only recommend.

National park, we need to pay the parking, 8$. Space for long vehicles(trailer). Easy 200/400m walk down steps. Might be slippery when wet. Both middle and bottom falls are lovely to look at. Especially after rain.

Waterfalls are only a short walk from the carpark. It is in national park so paid parking. Multiple waterfalls to visit. The walks are steep and you need be healthy with suitable foot-ware. Worth the walk right to the bottom though.

Clean and welcoming picnic grounds, toilets, BBQs, parking, awesome falls to walk around and explore. The water is cold but great to enjoy sitting under the falls. Does have a lot of stairs and they can get slippery at the bottom, but well worth the climb.

There are three spots for viewing and some swimming top falls, middle falls and lower falls. The path is good but it is steep. Our 8 year old made it up and down the path. We went after rain and the falls had a lot of water through them. There is some spots that you can at least get wet and some swimming but not great swimming spots. The rocks in some falls can be slippery. Most suitable for groups with mobile members. Need to pay $8 to park in car park.

Lovely spot, can spend the day exploring down the falls quite a way. There are some truly lovely spots to "find" Take plenty of water and snacks as if the weather is perfect you will not want to leave

So glad we stopped here. With the recent rain, the falls were flowing nicely. It was great to get up close to them and we got lots of great pictures.
There are 3 main viewing spots, from top to bottom. The top falls is a bit disappointing, because it is hard to get a good viewing angle. The middle falls is fantastic, with lots of room and the ability to get as close as you like. The bottom falls is also really good, but not as large and spectacular as the middle.
The path was well maintained, but I would imagine it could be a bit steep for older walkers.
At first I baulked at the $8 flat parking tickets, but after seeing the falls, I was happy to contribute to the upkeep of this wonderful place.

Easy parking and tables and chairs close by. The walk to the waterfall is worth it and if it is hot day you can go for a dip.

The falls are gorgeous and great for exploring the creek bed. Lovely forest around and the dappled sunlight allows anyone to explore without too many worries about sunburn etc. The place was pretty clean and allows views from three different platforms which means people of varying physical capabilities can enjoy the place.

Would this be suitable for a 4 year old to walk there and back? We want to visit but don't want to carry our kid the whole way.

It’s a National Park so you can’t take your dog unfortunately. If you have time or want somewhere close by to run and swim your dog, google Iron Bark road. It’s not far from the Falls and your dog will love it. Oh and maybe take a little pot of salt to either place as there are leech’s in these wet bushy environments;)

Although the weather is good now we have had lots of rain. I would definitely say it would be a good time to go. Put on good shoes and pack a picnic. If you would like a bit of fun and exercise take the track to the bottom of the falls. It will be worth it. These are not huge falls but they are beautiful and lovely to photograph. In the heat this weekend, it would be a nice retreat.

Hello there...I see there r a few people who hav answered but I will say to the actual picnic area which u can dine r at the top of the falls n there r no steps to sit n eat unless u start to venture down the falls.u will b greeted by bush turkeys which puts a little joy into ur eating experience 😜

How do i get there from Niagara Park Station? Am coming from Mannering Park by train. I believe i can get a bus from there to Somersby but not sure how to get to falls from there. Walking 11kms is not an option for me.

There is a bus from Wyoming to Gosford, then another bus to Somersby Falls. Then you have a walking distance.
Contact the Red Bus Service as they are the our local bus service provider.
Alternatively, a taxi.
