Found his way to Australia because he had been assigned to accompany convict ships.
There are many monuments for this man throughout Australia. One of these monuments exists in Hay. It is located directly outside of the tennis courts and across the road from a charming little cafe. If you were in the area, that’s worth stopping to have a look.
