Great national park to visit
2021年5月
This Federal Government National Park in the Jervis Bay Territory (not in NSW as some people think) is a fantastic part of the world and worth your time to visit and explore. The beach at Green Patch is amazing with its almost white sand and very good picnic, BBQ and toilet facilities. Drive around to Murray's Beach or to Wreck Bay. Unfortunately the road to Cape St George Lighthouse ruins was closed due to high winds. Park access fees apply on entry to the park but the small fee is worth it to assist in the upkeep of this picturesque area.

Greenpatch – Mob rule by night, Yob rule by day.
2021年1月
Have just cancelled a planned follow up visit to Jervis Bay in NSW, after a miserable weekend at the Greenpatch campground a few weeks ago. I know, I know . . . Jervis Bay and surrounds are beautiful, but only if you are able to relax and enjoy it all.
Despite exhortations on the Parks Australia web site about expected Camp Etiquette in Booderee National Park, it was the worst camping experience my partner and I have ever had – anywhere in the world.
Loud music into the wee small hours; drunken and boorish behaviour from groups of people at large campsites; and threats of violence when we asked them to please tone it down . . . at 1.30am.
During the day, it was unbelievable to watch campers feeding the indigenous wildlife while taking selfies . . . usually with one of the omnipresent signs in the background, which ask campers to NOT feed the wildlife. We spent the best part of our days avoiding animals that are totally unafraid of humans . . . ducking low swooping birds of all types, and shooing away aggressive possums, kangaroos, and wallabies from stoves, camp tables and tents where they clearly expected to be fed at all times of the day.
And where were the Rangers? They were only seen driving around the camp during daylight, only getting out of their flash Rangers' truck to ensure campers had paid the required camp fees. Revenue raising clearly comes before the safety of campers. A follow up email to the organization seems to have been studiously ignored.
When locals are talking up the regions as the new tourism, actually visiting there is not a relaxing and safe place to visit.
Thanks, but no thanks. Cate.

Stunning

I visited in early March which was great timing-sunny but not too hot and not too busy. The scenery is just beautiful. I hired a car from Wollongong and like the other spots along the coast, it's all so easy to access.

Great national park
2020年12月
We love this National Park so much that we visited twice during our stay in Jervis Bay recently. There are some nice places to explore, such as the beaches, the lighthouse ruin, etc.
Despite the 2 visits, we still didn't have time to check out some other places in the national park. Hence, we'll be back again for sure.

A superb national park
2020年11月
This is an extensive Commonwealth national park. Entrance fees apply that can be purchased at booth at entrance, or on line to save waiting as have separate priority drive through lane (recommended if visiting at holiday and other busy times). Suggest research beforehand as multiple beaches, gardens, walks and attractions within the park. In a most of the day visit we took in 3 of the 9 beaches, visited the ruins of Cape St George lighthouse, views from Governor Head and Stony Creek, plus the 5 km Munyunga Waraga Dhugen loop trail. Is a mix of bitumen sealed and unsealed roads throughout, but all suitable for 2WD. Now I know about this gem, will return to explore it a bit more.

Lovely area
2020年9月
We drove up to the payment window expecting to pay but it was free. We assume a COVID thing as the pass said $13 but it was crossed out!

We loved Murray beach and the lovely surrounds. There are lots of walks here and we would like to come back.

Beautiful beaches or bushwalks
2020年9月 • 好友
This was my second trip to Booderee this year, this time with a friend. Some great walks and nice beaches, so you have options. None of the walks I’ve done are particularly challenging, but there are a few different lengths depending on your preference and endurance.

Just be aware that probably half the park is still closed since Covid restrictions came into place. Park entry fee is waived for a while longer, though, so definitely worthwhile.

Plenty to see

Lovely National Park, reminds me of Wilson’s Promontory. Loads of walking tracks, very nice campgrounds with modern amenities, large choice of beaches. Worth visiting the botanic gardens, cave beach and lighthouse especially.

Waste of money
2020年2月 • 家庭
$13 for a day pass, Happy to support indigenous community but nothing really offered about their culture and relationships to the land. Nice white beaches but bush is just common scrub. Hyams beach is free, beautiful and park offers nothing better. As soon as we got in park ranger in car went past accusingly staring at our dash for payment, no wave or anything else. Sorry but a rip-off.

Wildlife heaven
2019年12月
If you want to be camping amongst the wildlife then this is your site.
We saw possums ( watch out as they are confident thieves, do not be tempted to feed them as it can make them ill)
Loads of colourful parrots and bird life and lots more.
Beside a golden sandy beach which is situated in a shallow bay, ideal for children/families. Lovely clean barbecue and picnic area.
Shaded sandy pitches in amongst the trees and surrounded by nature at its best.
Just hoping the fires haven't reached this area. We were very lucky to be able to visit here as the fires were behind us all the way down the Princes Highway.
Facilities were basic,old but clean.
Within two hours drive of Sydney and you are in the bush .. Beautiful area!
