Anthony and Emily go above and beyond to ensure you have the best time exploring lord howe. They are so friendly and helpful and I would highly recommend them if you go to Lord Howe.

A fantastic experience, swimming with the turtles. Anthony provides a lot of information, not just about turtles but about the history, flora and fauna of this unique island. An experience not to be missed

Yet another wonderful Turtle and 2 Spot snorkelling tour under the ever watchful and expert eye of Anthony. We would have seen a good 5-6 turtles from the boat and three beauties while snorkelling, including one that was having a “spa treatment” delivered by the cleaner fish! We have been on many of these tours with in years past but seeing the cleaner fish at work was a first for us.
Plenty of wonderful fish to see, particularly off the North Beach wreck and it was great to see the coral making a steady recovery.
We are “of an age” now and particularly appreciate Anthony’s attentive watch for our needs when getting in and out of the boat. We will continue to do this tour in future years as long as we are able and Anthony is conducting them! Thank you as always.

We had a wonderful time. Anthony is so knowledgeable about the island and all the wildlife. We did the snorkeling and turtle tour plus optional walk up a hill at North Bay. Loved seeing all the amazing fish during the snorkeling.

The glass bottom boat & snorkel trip was a holiday highlight. As we headed out Anthony gave a little briefing on the lagoon (the wrecks in the lagoon, the coral types, the fish species, the threats to the ecosystem). There was plenty of time to have a swim & a couple of snorkels after the coral viewing. The wetsuits, flippers & masks are available to borrow from the shopfront if needed. It was a great afternoon... recommended!

this was a wonderful adventure, spotted many turtles just sitting on the sea grasses they blend in so well, time for a swim and a snorkel lots of fish and coral to explore. Then we dropped anchor for a North Bay nature walk.

My husband and I recently had one of our best holidays ever.It was on an island of paradise, called Lord Howe Island. We were both under its spell the moment we landed in the very small, well handled plane. The island and the locals made us feel so welcome right away. We so enjoyed our two snorkelling tours with Marine Adventures aboard their glass bottomed boat. This family run business has just the right combination of what’s needed to bring the wonderment of the ocean and shore in such a friendly manner and with such generosity in sharing information on the sea creatures, birds and other animals along with very informative and interesting historical and geography facts and so much local knowledge.
We swam with turtles, saw beautiful coral and so many varied species of fish and other ocean species. It was very relaxing ,whilst feeling safe and comfortable the whole tour, the gear provided was of great quality .Emily and Anthony really offer a truly wonderful experience. We would have liked to have done additional tours with them if we were staying longer.
We are grateful to have met this inspiring couple and their family and we dream of returning to this breathtaking island again hopefully not too far into the future.

We didn't have the best luck with snorkelling tours when we visited Lord Howe Island, having had a number of tours cancelled by another tour operator due to mechanical issues with their boat and due to strong winds had another cancel at the last minute. The staff at Capella Lodge, sensing my disappointment, organised for us to be included on Marine Adventures' North Bay Turtle & Nature Tour.
Marine Adventures were well organised - providing googles, snorkels and flippers, as well as wet suits (the water was a cool 19 degrees) for everyone (kids included), as they operate within the offshore reef protected waters their 3m glass bottom boat was perfectly suited to get around. Anthony was the consummate guide, really knowledgeable local - we managed to sight a number of turtles whilst we made our way out to North Bay. We could only climb 3/4 way up Mt Eliza as they were protecting the bird nurseries higher up the hill. Old Gulch providing some great photo opportunities.
What I really wanted was the opportunity to go snorkelling - and I was not disappointed as we got to dive on the wreck of the 'Favorite' and the surrounding reef. Personally I could have spent hours swimming around and taking photos of the marine life but our tour did have a number of small kids who got bored and cold.
On the way back Anthony tired his hardest to find some more turtles but the weather and nature weren't playing their part.
If I had more time on LHI and the weather was better I would have easily taken one of the other tours operated by Marine Adventures. Worth noting that the tour doesn't include food or drinks so make sure you bring your own - you can refill water bottles at the picnic shelter in North Bay and there is a compostable toilet there if you need it.

Hefty price for a lack lustre tour. Advertised as a 3 hr tour with combined snorkelling and turtle tour. Stunning day and great snorkelling spot however Little effort in attempts to find turtles then arrived back at beach 30 min early - so tour less than 2.5 hrs . Didn’t leave the beach until 115pm instead of 1pm . Should have been offered a second 30 min snorkelling session sumwhere. No refreshment at all offered .

HI Sharon, Sorry you didn't have the best experience. May is very much the end of our season, with everything (Turtles & Birds) starting to migrate North with the warmer water retracting. Our North Bay Tour always just includes the one snorkel and we have a 2nd tour which is the Turtle Tour and 2 Spot snorkel. Hopefully next time we can get you out for a better experience on us.

Very well organised. Got to see many Turtles up close. Anthony was a knowledgable and enthusiastic guide. Enjoyed hearing about how the Island’s Flora and Fauna and how they have managed to help them prosper. Highly recommend.
