Wow what a boring town. With strange unfriendly people, everyone seemed odd and slightly rude to outsiders. Nothing to do, nothing to see, most shops are closed and wierd people live here.

Living on the road, town to town, our pantry items needed a replenish.
At the suggestion of the Information Centre, we visited The Merriwa Tourist Welcoming Centre located right in the middle of town.
Also known as "The Hut" this is a community owned business, operating as a co-op promoting all types of local arts and crafts and run by volunteers.
The range of local crafts and homemade jams, pickles and chutneys is HUGE. We stocked up on some hot chilli paste, zucchini pickle and pineapple jam - all absolutely scrumptious!
This is a must-see for any traveller or tourist to pick up some delicious condiments and beautiful handmade local gifts.
