The Entrance doesn't have the same feeling that it used to. Lots of shops are closed or struggling. Pelican feeding is no longer happening. Feels more like a quiet backwater than the popular tourist destination it used to be. It's still beautiful to walk along the waterfront, swim in the sea or pools, and wander around the rock pools. Also popular for fishing especially at low tide. But we went up to Terrigal afterwards and it was much more alive with more great cafes/restaurants/shops, the new board walk, beach etc. So we'd recommend Terrigal over the Entrance unless you're keen on fishing.

Reviewed today
Take the kids and their swimmers. There are rides in the park.
Lots of grass for a picnic or to sit and eat your fish and chips. Do remember to Slip Slop Slap. Dog friendly on a lead and please pickup the poo. Don't swim in the channel. It has a rip. There is a free swimming pool at the baths. Lots of markets on certain weekends. Welcome and have fun.

Lots of cafes, restaurants, bars, great seafood, lots of shops, lively atmosphere , activities for children - watch out for the pelicans !

Glenda May has an amazing gift and ability to connect with spirits and the living world. My reading was so spot on and I really could feel the connection to my loved ones. I got all the answers I needed, not necessarily the ones I thought I'd get but I feel a lot lighter and content within myself. I would recommend her to anyone seeking advice or guidance. She really went above and beyond. I can't wait for the next time we meet

Great place to take your young kids. Water was shallow and calm when we were there. There is also plenty of parking and it is free.

The poor old Entrance has seen better days. Such a shame because this is a spectacular seaside location. There are many closed shops and one the days that are busy the town is buzzing with tourists that all look like they need a good shave and a haircut. The poor Pelicans look lost searching for food that was once served on a platter to them
Daily. Those that remain are seen wandering the mall area trying to avoid hot chips thrown at them by the tourists. That aside, the Council really needs to inject some capital into the place to bring it back to life for the locals and tourists to enjoy.

They have dodgem cars and a carousal and lots of other play furniture for children. The food shops are good, although the range is a little limited. This Town Centre is a great initiative.

The town centre is bustling with people and offers everything the traveler could need. Interesting shops and restaurants close to the water.

We were staying at The Oaks Waterfront and we could see the pelicans waiting patiently on a sandbank opposite the Pelican feeding area. Unfortunately it didn't happen! Due to COVID 19 some hero attached to Council, maybe, Decided to cancel the event! Leaves us to wondering, how & who explained to the pelicans that they're no longer getting free feeds? Poor birds sit there most of the day waiting? Surely now that most of the restrictions have been lifted, they can be fed again?

They are there all year round - best time is in the afternoon. There is a great talk by the local Ranger as well.
