Overlooking Brisbane Water and Woy Woy Bay, this lookout was not one of the best I have viewed. Definitely a vantage point to see the area however it was not a spectacular view. It was an overcast day so this may have had a slight impact. Nonetheless it is a surprising stop along Woy Woy Road

It's easy to miss, but don't drive past without stopping. This is a very special lookout with fantastic viewing of the whole Brisbane Waters area. And just get out of your car: no walking required.

A memorable moment shared with my youngest son and my father who was visiting from overseas. Sunset and just the three of us. Loved it. We even saw a local bird digging away attempting to make a nest/new home. Not something you see everyday.

Good spot to take in the views north towards Gosford and also east to the entrance to Brisbane Waters and the Hawkesbury River

A definite short stop if you're leaving or entering Woy Woy - some amazing views and even a relaxing spot for a picnic. It's near the main road, though, so a bit noisy.

This is worth a quick stop if in the area. There are tables/chairs for a picnic and plenty of parking with a toilet and water tap. There are views in the distance of the waterways and bushland all around (see photos). Getting back onto the highway was a little dangerous though because its on a slight bend limiting the view of the road.

Nice aspect a pleasant place for a rest

Relaxing to stop at the lookout to take in the view as you come off the freeway. It makes one appreciate where you live. Highly recommended.

Great old world deco cafe with views across the valley toward Katoomba. Very generous servings of good food and beautiful coffee with friendly service. Good old Australian cafe!

Staples lookout is about 4 ks from the Central Coast Highway going towards Woy Woy.There is ample parking and the view is fantastic.
