We stayed recently at beautiful Kooindah Waters. The two-story townhouse was wonderful - spacious rooms and a lovely outlook onto the golf course. There were four of us - two oldies and two grandchildren. We all loved the heated indoor pool which was a great length for lap swimming and for the kids to play games. The kids also enjoyed the large outdoor pool - though it was a bit cold for me in September as it was unheated.
A refreshing drink on the outdoor terrace capped off a great day.
We thoroughly enjoyed our buffet breakfast which we all found to be high quality.
We had delivered pizzas from Hungry Wolf at Wyong. Highly recommended.
My only hesitation was that we could have been better forewarned about the steps up to the bedrooms. My 75-year old husband initially found these a bit daunting. But he coped.

Not worth the money. The building needs an urgent overhaul, render missing in a lot of places. Windows very dirty It does not cost a lot to keep the place clean. Bathroom had a cracked was basin. The beds are extremely unconvertable. No hot water in the system. I would NOT return to this hotel.
I rate your hotel 1.5 star and would not expect to pay more than $100 a night.

Kooindah Waters:
We (couple) stayed here for 3 nights in a Golf View Standard King room. We also stayed at Pullman Magenta Shores and Ibis Styles The Entrance during the same period.
Room:
The room is large and the bathroom is a good size as well. The bathroom had a shower as well as a bath. Nothing spectacular, but as expected. The view of the Golf Course is what makes the difference. We stayed at this hotel before, but in a room that overlooked the car park. It is a completely different experience. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony and watching the golfers attempt to hit over the water to the green.
Wifi:
Disappointing. The Wifi seemed to drop out every now and then. At times we used our phones as a Wifi hotspot. Hopefully this will be addressed.
Food:
We have Accor Advantage Plus, so we get dinner at a discount which makes a big difference. We enjoyed the meals and the white chocolate and strawberry mouse was a winner. The restaurant has a nice view overlooking the golf course.
Facilities:
We played the golf course once and really enjoyed it. It is definitely challenging and you need extra golf balls. We did not make use of any of the other facilities. There is not too much close by to the hotel, so it is a bit of a drive to the beach or Frasier National Park.

Parking:
There is plenty of free outside parking available. There seems to be parking under the hotel, but not sure if this is available.
Value for money:
The pricing is fair. The Golf View room is worth paying extra for, especially if you are going to be spending some time in your room. Ideal if you just want to sit on the balcony and taking in the views.
Comparison:
Compared to a Magenta Shores Studio King and Ibis Styles The Entrance Superior Lake View.
We would stay here (Golf View room) again if we just want a relaxed time, sitting on the balcony and maybe have a round of Golf. The Wifi was not great, but we have a backup.

We stayed here for 1 night on the way to the Hunter Valley. We booked a Privilege room at $200 a night. We found the room we had selected was in the main building above reception not ideal but we thought we would give it a go. This is when the problems started:
1. Told that the car park for the room type was underneath the main building. We followed the directions only to find we couldnt park as there was a truck blocking the parking. You have to drive through the loading dock to park. Ridiculous.
2. We took our luggage to the "privilege" room to find it was directly above the restaurant and outdoor bar/ dining area. The bedroom window was over the outdoor sitting area. Great if you want some quiet. The room itself was bare and soul less with peanuts under the sofa, The room was also meant to include a robe, slippers, water, chocolates, newspaper. None of these were in the room. Avoid any room they call "privilege" Its a way to sell the rooms no-one wants to stay in.
3. We requested a room change to a separate block away from the main building we were offered a golf room for $190 or a 1 bed apartment for $210. We paid the extra and moved rooms
4. The 1 bed apartment was an improvement on the "privilege" room. A full kitchen, lounge again a soul less room and very sparse. The lounge furniture is like something from an airport lounge. The balcony on the room was filthy and weathered. Looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years and the balcony walls are in dire need of painting. Even walking around the hotel site, the walkways were the same weathered and moldy, paint weathered on the building and some cases chunks of plaster missing from the walls.
5. Again the room did not come with the robe, slippers, water, chocolates, newspaper. I went to reception to ask for them only to be told they are only with the "privilege" room. Thats the room that didnt have them in case you missed it and the 1 bedroom apartment is $10 more but doesnt come with them? Eventually they agreed to supply water, chocolates and a newspaper. The robe and slippers was in the too hard basket. The chocolates were pathetic see the photos.
6. Then we walked down to the gym and it had a keycode. We called reception from outside the gym to be told they wouldn't give us the code and we need to walk back to reception to get a key fob. Now in regular hotels they ask a checkin "will you be using the gym?" This is how you access it. Not here.
The only good thing I can say about this place is the room service was excellent. The house burger was perfect and delivered quickly. Given the dire need for maintenance and the service needs improvement including providing the items they say in the booking confirmation we will not be returning anytime soon.

Hubby and I opted for a night away after being rained in for days. On arrival the reception staff were very pleasant and as Accor members we were fortunate to have our room upgraded.
Our spacious room was lovely and clean. Importantly the bed was comfy and huge.
We experienced B,L &D. At each sitting the staff were faultless being attentive and professional. Nothing was a bother to them.
The food we ordered was delicious with a good variety. Even tho it was quite busy we didn’t have a too long wait time.
Thank you to all at me Ure kooindah waters we will definitely be back.

I find this a tricky review to do. On the one hand I want to commend and give praise. On the other, I feel it important to point out some serious misgivings. This is a hot and cold review in the end.
As our experience started so negatively, so shall the review. Reception is a fair way from the rooms. You do need to drive to the reception to get your keys, it’s just not clear you should do this or how, when you arrive at the not easy to navigate road system. Walking to our room, bags in tow ( having parked not as close to the room as we could have due to the first point), we find our room is to be on the second floor.... no lifts. Yep, NO LIFTS. nobody mentioned this and nobody asked if that was an issue.
Clambering up, bags in tow still, we finally enter the room and wow, the stench of tobacco was incredible. What I don’t understand is how it is possible for the housekeeping system to even remotely let this happen.
Leaving my wife outside, I go to get a new room.
On arriving at reception, I have to wait for the receptionist to finish her phone call. She is also, apparently, the reservations clerk. Not a good look for a 4 star (really?) property. However the receptionist does find me a new room ( does NOT apologise for the problem though) and in doing so does actually ask if stairs are a problem. Quite why we were not asked that in the first place is a mystery.
Walking back to the room, relocating my wife on the way, we are delighted when first walking into the new room. Feels like we got upgraded but can’t be sure. The room is clean and well presented. There are little things wrong, like double shampoo and no conditioner but other than towels, everything you expect at 4 stars is 4 stars.
Towels. Just two. I for one know full well that women tend to use two towels. Heck, in 2 star motels they put out 4 towels. I find this 2 towel concept yet another “mystery”.
Staff at breakfast. 5 star. That’s the best way of telling you that everything about the offering and service then was exemplary. Kudos, finally.
So there you have it. Bitter sweet overall. We won’t be staying again.

Nice place with good facilities. Room was comfortable, quiet and outlook very pleasant. Only downside was not being given swipe token on arrival that is required to get into pool area. Additionally, only 2 of the 6 lounges around the pool were NOT broken.

Great spot for meeting and good buffet. Staff very accommodating.
Needs more privacy or spaced out from buffet to seating area.
Rooms well maintained and clean prefer over Magenta.

Stayed on a Monday night. Staff are nice but could of gave more detail regarding dining , parking etc
Rooms are spacious and have a bath .
Grounds are beautiful
Buffet breakfast was nice but dried out bacon not a fan . Barista coffee is included but had to ask.
It’s the small things I guess

A lot of activity’s to do at this resort. The rooms were fully contained & great place to stay very quiet. The only thing is the mattress was not good - old & to lumpy soft needs an upgrade. Other than that I would highly recommend this hotel to stay for a quick getaway from Sydney.
