Hello culture

amazing collection of impressionist and other paintings, well worth the visit. The Soutine expo which is currently on was a real eye opener and is now one of my favourites.

Delightful and World Class
This is one of the world’s greatest collections, particularly for Rembrandt. Give yourself plenty of time because the building may be small but the collection is dense and you will need time to explore the choices made in grouping the items. Free docent talks in the classroom are worth attending because this is an unusual place both in content and in display, and some orientation helps to take it in. Don’t miss a stop to the excellent coffee shop on the lower level!

There is nothing to say, if you like art you have to see this. It is a must
I have been to Paris to the Musee d'Orsay and I was impressed by this collection.
After it was moved downtown is now accessible and something worth the trip

This is the ARBORETUM, not the ART MUSEUM - NO ART HERE
First, most people are erroneously reviewing the art collection found on the Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia proper in this review. This is the listing for the ORIGINAL SITE of the collection which was moved 5 miles away. This is a lovely arboretum and gardens and the inaccessible home/original site of the art collection. THERE IS NO ART HERE.

The grounds were lovely to take a stroll, and there is a great website you can access on your phone to take a self-guided audio tour by typing in numbers that appear all around the grounds. You can spend an hour or so walking the lovely rose garden, the path around the main house, etc. There is also a bathroom on site.

The greenhouse was not accessible unfortunately, and the parking lot was a little hard to find, as our GPS took us to a second gate which was locked and barred and only a one-way street went around the locale. However, parking and the site were free.

This is mostly non-natives plants/trees but still lovely.

Stunning collection
We were delighted to find one of the largest collections of Renoirs that we have ever seen, in addition to impressive works by Cezanne, Van Gogh and more. We were also pleasantly surprised that admission on the first Sunday of each month is free!

incredible art display

See the movie that sets up how Dr. Barnes got started in the art world and his motivation/goals. Each room becomes a work of art because of the way he arranged the artwork on the walls.

A hidden gem
We visited the gardens and wre pleasantly surprised. The web-site and all info tried to send you to the main Museum in the city, but the gardens are really nice. they have an impressive hosta collection, which are extremely well labelled and all the other plants are well marked. On a hot day, it was a very pleasant way to spend a couple of hours.

Very nice!
All of the art pieces were beautiful and there was alot to see. There are many small rooms full of beautiful art and it seemed to get quite crowded in many of the rooms. Perhaps bigger rooms and less of them would make it somewhat more inviting. But overall, I loved the art and enjoyed my time there.
