I'm a local author with a long history of travels in and around this town. Oil City just had a book fest, but I was too late to register. Still, I have donated three of my books to the library and plan to attend next year's book festival. If you are in town, check out the library, you won't be disappointed.

I love that our little town has such a wonderful library. I recently used the community room for a shower. Price is so reasonable to rent and staff is always very helpful and friendly.

Miss Annie, the Children’s Librarian, as well as all the library staff are wonderful! We have been going to the library for years now and are always thankful for their programs and resources!

The Oil City Library is a big city resource in a small city. Its resources, whether in number of titles, access to the outside world, programming and other services -- including what is available for lending -- is nothing short of remarkable. Architecturally it is also stunning. It is a must see for visitors.

I have been going to the Oil City Library since I was a child and in turn took my children there. It is an outstanding library for a small town like Oil City although Oil City used to be over twice the size it is today. However, the library has gone through ups and downs and has managed to stay focused. We are very fortunate to have it remain.

This is a great library, with a very friendly and informative staff. I have been a cardholder at this library for over fifty years. There is a wide variety of things to check out...from books, videos, magazines, even metal detectors, etc. I will always be a cardholder...this is one of my favorite places in Oil City. We are very fortunate to have this in our little town.

Lovely knowledgeable staff. Felt very grand. It was built by Andrew Carnegie and it reads of old time opulence from the marble and polished wood.

Wonderful people to talk too at the front desk in the library, very helpful too. I chose the Microfilm room to look things up in the older news papers. I have also enjoyed the Genealogy room upstair's in the Oil City Library, alot of wonderful things to look at and read.

This is a lovely building, very inviting and much better stocked than my native Franklin one . Good displays and a cool painting of a night time abstract cityscape which friends and I admire.
