A group of us had a great time here watching a pilot being filmed in the lower part of the theater. We enjoyed our experience here, although we didn’t know much about The Blob history until we got there.

Charming building. Dirty bathroom. Experience ruined when employee/owner had to loudly throw older male patron out. Scary for my child. Time for security!

My family loves the Colonial! They always have interesting movies as well as fun special events like edible cinema and science on screen. They are slowly remodeling and adding on like the White Rabbit Theater. We will keep supporting this historic theater.

It does no good for the rest of us trying to do business in Phoenixville that this old relic advertises itself so highly only to disappoint comers and to have them leave with a lousy impression of the town in total.
They sit in our restaurants annoyed and disappointed after finding an old somewhat run down movie house that presents itself much differently.
If you’re going to stage events like Blobfest to bring people to our area then give them something to remember like a clean, memorable product.
I’ve seen several movies and one concert in this place and the experience is anything but a positive one.
Fix the sound system and make the obvious repairs at least. And cleanup the bathrooms and the theater floors.
Consider more comfortable seating.
If you fail
To attract people or send them off angry or disgusted it impacts all of us.

We attend the annual Blobfest at the Colonial every summer. They have held the past two remote due to COVID, but we still went to Phoenixville and stopped in for popcorn and sodas. Gorgeous theatre with a really well-done lobby expansion into the old bank next door. We've spent many hours in each of the 3 theatres in this complex and once were part of a swing dance in the old bank lobby. Worth a visit, tickets and the popcorn and drinks (soda and alcoholic) are reasonably priced and it's right next to lots of great dining options. We look forward to stopping by every year.

The non-profit Colonial Theatre is a great venue in Phoenixville! It offers both live concerts and movies, including silent movies accompanied by the only publicly performing theatre pipe organ in Chester County. Movies are both first run and classic films. The costs are not high, and I became a member to get even more perks. Strongly sugegst a visit to the Colonial.

Quaint old time theater with street front marquis and old fashioned feel. Several theaters all small in size. Tends to play older movies and/ or non big theater named shows. Lots of unique showings to include the famous Blob. Offer live concerts at times as well. Snack bar with beer/wine available. Offers event space to include roof top views. Worth a visit.

All the seats have been updated and are extremely comfortable. The tickets are reasonable and almost half what it will cost you to see the same film at this one theatre not 21/24 ones! The recreation of the " Blob" a film made in Phoenixville, where people are being chased out of the theatre by a giant tomato is going to make you laugh. My husband and I did it once and we had a great time.

Fabulous venue for a concert, just the right size, comfortable, terrific sound and personalized experience. Excellent amenities and staff, very easy, nice overall experience.
