Northbridge Park

Northbridge Park in West Ashley is a cool park that has great views of the river and is a good place to stop and catch some fresh air and a nice breeze on a warm day. I enjoy stopping here when I have some time on a busy day and it is very relaxing and calming to be that close to the water. This park is well maintained and offers plenty of places to walk. I really like the pier that you are able to walk out on and be out on the water. This park offers a unique view of the Charleston area and I have had a great experience every time that I have visited here.

The park is nice and clean. I'm glad they added this. The view is amazing and nice for a picnic with your loved ones. Picture opportunities abound!

Relaxation

Hubby and I took a midweek break to enjoy a peaceful picnic lunch. The park was clean and scenic. A great place to simply stop and just be still.

Beautiful view

This is a newer park at the foot of the North Bridge over the Ashley River. It is the bridge between North Charleston and West Ashley in Charleston. I entered coming from the West Ashley side and the road winds under the bridge. There is parking, but not a lot of parking. There also were not a lot of people there. The park has a picnic area that is shaded. There is a dock and boats can pull up there and dock for up to 2 hours. There is a nice walkway out over the water with benches along the way. The view of the Ashley River and the bridge is beautiful. It is very nice even with traffic on the bridge above. There were also people casting for shrimp off the dock and a man putting out crab traps. It is a nice place to visit.
